No "headlong rush." I came here after I ran out of ideas, for the purposes I previously stated. It was an act of desperation. I honestly didn't know what else to do.

I dearly love my niece and will continue to do so regardless of what transpires. It is not my intention to "gossip" or exploit her terrible dilemma. I needed ideas quickly, and this was the only place I could think of where I could get quick and compassionate ideas anonymously.

Hopefully, some of this info is helpful to you that Freepers are posting.

Is there any religious figure that she can speak to?

Send her the link to this thread. Maybe she can read this and realize complete strangers are praying for her and care about her welfare and maybe can make an informed decision.

I don't know. Maybe it's a time for tough love. She's driven by the fear that she'll lose her boyfriend (and she probably will anyway, before long).

Maybe someone should convey a little fear of the Lord to her, about this. Something along the lines of: What is it about "Do not murder." that you don't understand?

(Not being judgmental, just looking to see if there's a chance to make a difference.)

If money is important, I will personally offer her $5,000 if she will take this baby to term and give it up for adoption to myself and my wife.

What some people don't understand, is that FR can be a community of compassionate and caring friends. We can lean on each other for support in the good times and bad.

None of us want to see anyone in pain, and anything we can do to alleviate that pain, through advice or heartfelt prayer, is a welcomed relief.
