They do not make vaccines (don't know where that rumor came from) -- just syringes and other pharmaceutical delivery equipment.

There's ifo about the company posted earlier on this thread. The company does make vaccines and bios, but maybe not this one plant.

I can't help but notice the coincidence of a pharmaceuticals factory being blown up the day after the president gives a pre-war speech against Iraq.

My thought, as well; prayers to the injured and their families and doctors and nurses.....

THere is a GE plastics about 30 miles away from where I live. The warehouse caught fire a couple of years ago and we could smell it where I live. It burned for 4 days and they finally called the Red Adair firefighting company from Houston, Tx. to come and put it out. I went to help fight it for a couple of days. THe local FF's were exhausted so they called fire depts. from 50-60 miles away in all directions.

Channel 11 just used the "casualty" word. They are saying CNN is reporting deaths.

It's not an exaggeration to say that literally 90% of the media is dumb enough to think casualty = dead.

Unfortunately, I don't think the media, fire departments, police departments, rescue services, etc. are completely aware of how badly the media doesn't understand the word casualty.

Yeah, for a local fire. Sounds like there was a lot of flaming debris, though. It was a plastic injection plant -- perhaps a tank holding liquid plastic overheated and blew up. That might explain the debris..... Heck, I don't know.

I know; the minute CNN switched to Talkback Live I switched channel back to Fox. Since most reporting here was from Fox I just wanted additional info if it became available. Wouldn't watch Talkback Live if you paid me!

A caller into FNC says there would have been a shift change at 3pm and that it is believed there would have been a full shift at the time of the explosion
