hehehe... whatever. Lighten up. What did you really expect? Churchill? JFK? No... I know... Gore. That was the choice, if you remember.
You're still missing Gore? Yes, you're so right. He'd have handled this soooo much better. Grab a clue after you sober up.

Nope. I'm not a member of the spelling police.
But the rest of your posts here only validate my original thesis. Give the sauce a rest.

OK... I'll bite. What *would* make you happy? Nothing, right?

Great choice DemonRats! Better rethink that vote.
Is Nancy the first WMD on the left side of the aisle? Weapon of Mass (Self)Destruction.
Or maybe she's already in Hillary's class - Women of Mass Delusion.
"Fargin' IceHoles". Totally laughable hogshow.

I think a formal declaration of war would be in order. I agree that one is not required, but I think the situation calls for one from a "spiritual" standpoint if not a practical one.

Once the war is over--and the hot part of the engagement will not be 96 hours--there will be an endless parade of thankful Iraqis decrying the torture of the Iraqi citizenry and the horribleness of their lives under Hussein. And just as they have a Ronald Reagan Square in downtown Warsaw, there will be a George W. Bush Square in Baghdad.

The President has already said he will return to Congress for an address specifically concerning Iraq and the War on Terrorism, sometime after Feb 5.
I would expect him to lay out the case in more detail at that time -- which might immediately precede action in Iraq.
If Congress chooses to do something more "formal" at that time, I suspect it would be welcome. But I very much doubt the administration will ask for it.
They have in hand what is tantamount to a declaration. Seeking a second authorization would be an unnecessary complication.

. . . and replace him with someone less insane (or at least who will wear his hair in a way that makes him appear less insane). Nice line!

I signed the petition and I thank you for your service to our country. Now if we somehow figure out how to defend our southern border...

It must be tought having to sit there and listen to the President, knowing that you will get only five seconds of air time to respond. On the other hand, what a comfort to know that the press will do the talking for you.

If Bush the II really wants to protect America from this rabid dog, let Bush give the order to assassinate Hussein... Let's see if Bush has the brass to put HIS neck on the line for America. What makes you think he hasn't? It is hard to do. The Nazis had hit men out to do in Churchill, but couldn't reach him.

I think a lot of people are realizing that the shrill, "no war under any circumstances" people are starting to sound exactly like the anti-war, "peace at any price" appeasers in the run-up to WWII. People realize that if people like Churchill had been listened to instead of the appeasers, Hitler could have been stopped with the loss of very minimal -- if any -- bloodshed. Because the appeasers got their way, the death toll ended up being in the tens of millions instead. They now realize that if the appeasers get their way again, instead of deaths in the hundreds or thousands now, we will very likely be facing what ends up being a global conflagration within a decade, at the cost of hundreds of millions of lives or more.
