Your going to love this one.
I called my local paper (rat paper) and asked if they would be doing the Scott Ritter story. They said they hadn't seen it and they use AP so I directed them to it from AP and they said we still don't see it sorry. They said was there any thing new today. I directed them to the fed story and she came back and said nope I don't see it, sorry.

I've been trying to keep up with all the Ritter stuff but may have missed something. How was the arrest info leaked? Who leaked it? I can't remember exactly how it all started.

I've been trying to keep up with all the Ritter stuff but may have missed something. How was the arrest info leaked? Who leaked it? I can't remember exactly how it all started. When the arrest occurred, the local television station broadcast a news report on it and showed Ritter's mugshot. Amazingly, nobody at the station or in the viewing audience seemed to recognize him as the former U.N. weapons inspector, so it was a one-day story that did not receive national attention.
Perhaps someone saw the original report, then made the connection when Ritter started making numerous television appearances recently.

(am not disparaging Hal....I just find this incredible....I don't believe that no one "didn't know.")

Yeah, well there are nukes and nukes. Kilotonnage or Megatonnage? And when it goes off does it just go "boom -pfft", or "boom KA-MEGA-BLAST".

Thanks for the information. It makes sense. Still I wonder if someone didn't "file" it away for a convenient time.
Which is fine with me.

Someone on a talk radio asked if the Iraqi's had something on Ritter related to his legal problems. In other words, they wondered if he did anything like this in Iraq.
Thinking about that for a moment, I always thought it was strange how Ritter brought up children's prisons in Iraq as a sort of odd aside and then dropped it. Could it be that they aren't threatening him but someone else? This is simply idle speculation but that's what popped into mind when I tried to fit it all together.

Someone on a talk radio asked if the Iraqi's had something on Ritter related to his legal problems. In other words, they wondered if he did anything like this in Iraq. Maybe Jacques Chirac can get the answer to this question. After all he's been buddy-buddy with Saddam.
Chirac's nickname was "Sheikh Iraq"
Can Jacques Chirac Fill Charles De Gaulle's Shoes?, (1995)
While he is now [1995] billed in the French press as a Sinophile, in the 1970s Chirac enjoyed a reputation as an amateur Arabist. The rising Gaullist star went so far as to take Arabic lessons and, in a clever twist on his name, earned the media sobriquet "Sheikh Iraq" for his close personal ties with Saddam Hussain.

I am real curious how many little boys or girls Saddam hooked Ritter up with??????? This could explain a lot of things about Ritter.

Maybe the child welfare department in his area should look into his potential abuse of his own children.
How old are his twin daughters? Their welfare needs to be considered.
