Scott says he left home at 9:30 am and went to his office to do a few hours of work. He kept a 14-foot aluminum boat stored at his office and after working decided to hook it up and take a short fishing trip in the San Francisco BayBusy yes. Also, if Scott's story is to be believed, even Laci did not know he was going fishing. He is saying that while he was at work he decided to take a short fishing trip to the San Francisco Bay. Even though(according to Scott) he couldn't get in touch with Laci by cell phone, he went on his short trip anyway.

I can remember the name of the Asian mass serial killer in the mother lode foothills a decade or so ago. It took forever to get him out of Canada and millions and millions of $'s.
Hopefully, Scott will make a fatal mistake before he gets to Canada or Mexico. Then this mess will be over and save the taxpayers of California millions in lawyer fees.
Wasp, what was the name of that mass murdering serial killer in the Mother Lode who ran to Canada and stayed in luxury for years in their country club prisons?

Love your post #57.
I think that there is a good possibility that Scott is responsible for his wife's disappearance. I think that some of the reasons for targeting him are silly. Sure, no "decent" man would go fishing on Christmas Eve. No "decent" married man would have a girlfriend or more on the side. These combine to make him out to be a bad guy but lot of men do these things and haven't killed their wives, yet.

"They say that Scott's demeanor in the last couple of weeks has been unusual in that he has been playing golf, disappearing for lengthy periods of time, hired a defense attorney, has not been open with them, and met with a realtor about selling the house"
Thank you! I should have read the entire thread first..so this means he did not try to sell the house until after she was missing?

Is Scott still going to go to the Super Bowl to "hand out flyers"? Maybe after that, he could go to Mexico to hand out MORE flyers, LOL.

That doesn't make sense to me.. Why wouldn't the police charge the person then. I thought it was someone from LP family taking something they wanted for fear Scott would not allow them to have anything. I heard that the items taken were returned.
I have read so much about this case that I can't remember where I read things to source anything.

My sister in law is friends with Amber Frey...and here is an interesting bit..Amber told my sis-in-law that Scott called her BEFORE Christmas distraught, crying "my wife is dead".. we've been urging them to call the Modesto police with this info but they say they don't want to get involved.. if they don't..we will. 14 posted on 01/25/2003 11:20 PM CST by goodieD </BLOCKQUOTEl

LOL Your tag line..
I heard this morning ..on the news...that he was going to pass out flyers at superbowl. Don't know if he will for sure or not.

Good analysis about Scott leaving. However, if he were innocent, why would he ever leave the only home Laci knows, if there was a CHANCE she might return home??? (We all know why. He was never too devoted to her, anyway, appearances at the time notwithstanding.)

"prosecutions without body"...a prosecution is a law suit by a DA...A DA can prosecute, and often does, because he doesn't like your politics or your hair,...that is often a political decision...getting to trial is another...and getting a murder conviction is still another...these tend to be more legal, and much more difficult to come by...
SP is a young guy, anything short of a murder 1 conviction is a victory for him...so to me in this case specially, aprosecution and/or a plea only gives him more life...unacceptable...with a life senrence and a bribe here or there Sp is likely out by age 40....:-((...Laci and Conner are?????????

Or, as someone on this list said earlier, perhaps it was a newly bought "replacement" for some blunt object that might be permanently compromised (by now Scott knows that Clorox is not his best friend).

I heard this morning ..on the news...that he was going to pass out flyers at superbowl. You CAN'T be serious. I said last night to my DH, that if Scott goes to the Superbowl today, I sure hope someone recognizes him and photographs him. What a callous creep, to go to the football game while he should be in mourning for his missing 9-mos-pregnant wife.
And now he has the UNMITIGATED GALL to hand out a few flyers to make it look like his going to the game is FOR LACI????? I am STUNNED.

Iread that and had to smile..and then...I got so angry...
This case needs "eye for an eye" Justice" if our legal system can't get the true killer...and after a while we will know who that is....if we do not already.

That would be Charles Ng. He and his partner Leonard Lake, who offed himself with cyanide, killed a bunch of people in the West Point area.
