ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 22 - Until now, former U.N. weapon's inspector Scott Ritter has declined to speak about allegations he was arrested in an Internet sex sting 19 months ago. However, NewsChannel 13 reached Ritter by phone Wednesday and for the first time he discussed the arrest and the sealed court documents.
...snip...
"The case was dismissed. Therefore it never happened," Ritter said Wednesday.
"I stood in a court of law, before a judge and an assistant district attorney, and they dismissed it," he added.
But the court of public opinion has a different view. The story of Ritter's arrest and the subsequent dismissal of his case first broke over the weekend and dominated headlines in the days that followed.
"I am deeply saddened [by all of the media attention]. Not by anything I've done though."
Ritter refused to speak to NewsChannel 13 on camera. When offered the chance to tell his side of the story on television, he replied, "I'm saying it now."

How about this, Scott ---- "I had a serious problem. I was apprehended twice but neither touched nor performed a sexual act in front of a minor. I made a plea bargain and agreed to get psychiatric help. I got the professional help I needed, I have solved this problem in my life, and my family has forgiven me." How about that, Scott, instead of the immediate Clintonesque lie --- it was someone else. Yeah, your town probably has 20 Scott Ritters.
Admit what you did. Those who support you will forgive you. Even if you had done something in front of a girl, the sickos in the RAT party would still forgive you. One of Sinkmaster's biggest mistakes was to not admit what he did to Paula Jones. RAT supporters would have said "No big deal." Had he done that, Juanita Broaddrick would have never been called to testify. The horrific biting rape would have never been discovered.

A man who not once, but, twice( that we know of) has tried arrange an assignation with underage girlsAs somebody mentioned on another thread, the odds that Ritter twice attempted to lure underage girls to parking lots for sex and was (of all the crazy luck!) caught both times are very long indeed. The guy is not oh-fer-two. If he was caught twice, he has probably gotten away with this behavior many, many times.
And with all the travelling he does, he may have left victims scattered all over the country.
The world, for that matter.
This Scott Ritter is one sick dog. I think his days on TV are over.

I don't find these suggestions any less convincing than the suggestion that Ritter was given a pass by a Hillary operative to blackmail him into crusading against Bush.I'm just making my way through this thead, but couldn't agree with any comment more than this one. Given the fact that this happened in NY, I believe the chances are greater of a clintbilly connection than a saddam connection.

Guess you didn't understand my comment, then. The mental contortions of certain freepers, their childish need to focus on anything but the real bogeyman here, Saddam Hussein -- as if Hillary Clinton could be behind Scott Ritter's extraordinary about face or his trips to Baghdad, which is completely absurd -- is a testament to the power of human stupidity and denial.

"If it didn't happen...how do they know what to seal?"Right! I am SOOOOOOO confused!!!

NOw really folks . Since this type of behavior is not only accepted but encouraged in some parts of the world (ME), maybe Scott was just attempting to bring diversity to his community. (sarcasm off or ritter off -----how ever you look at it.)

OMG......Catherine Crier is implying that the judge worked for Bush during the recount and she is "suspicious" of why this all came out now! And, of course, RITTER told her that HE suspects the judge!
Oh, and let's not forget it was one of Bush's boys that held a gun to critter's head and made it get on that chat room twice mind you.

So, molesting children is fine and dandy with Ms. Crier apparently!? It's news leaks she has a problem with?
To: mewzilla
"So, molesting children is fine and dandy with Ms. Crier apparently!?"More likely, it just depends on whether the rabid left-wingers love the molestor or not.
Surly some lefties love their kids enough to want to protect them from sexual predators??? I HOPE???
