ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 22 - Until now, former U.N. weapon's inspector Scott Ritter has declined to speak about allegations he was arrested in an Internet sex sting 19 months ago. However, NewsChannel 13 reached Ritter by phone Wednesday and for the first time he discussed the arrest and the sealed court documents.
...snip...
"The case was dismissed. Therefore it never happened," Ritter said Wednesday.
"I stood in a court of law, before a judge and an assistant district attorney, and they dismissed it," he added.
But the court of public opinion has a different view. The story of Ritter's arrest and the subsequent dismissal of his case first broke over the weekend and dominated headlines in the days that followed.
"I am deeply saddened [by all of the media attention]. Not by anything I've done though."
Ritter refused to speak to NewsChannel 13 on camera. When offered the chance to tell his side of the story on television, he replied, "I'm saying it now."

What did Ritter do and when did he do it?
To: debg
lemme add to that confusion: crier said a bush judge sealed the case but then leaked the case. That bears repeating...Ritter and Crier crying foul by the judge who sealed the records defies logic. If the judge had ties to Bush why would he have agreed to seal it in the first place? He would have dimed Ritter out then and there, and denied Ritter the plea bargain despite any agreement by the ADA.
After Ritter's stupid comments against the judge, I would not be surprised to see a motion be made to have the records unsealed in the interest of justice..LOL...let them open the records up and then Ritter can cry foul all he wants...

You are right on the money here. My guess is that Ritter was practicing some of this perversion while in IRAQ. The Iraquis got the goods on him and held it over his perverted little head. Then suddenly Ritter does this 180 and tells us that Iraq is a clean as a whistle and that all that stuff he said before was just a bunch of hooey.
I think if we dig deeper we will find that Ritter was most likely blackmailed into his present attitude.

..........Catherine Crier is the most discusting Liberal B***H....ahh, female person on TV !!!!!!!

lemme add to that confusion: crier said a bush judge sealed the case but then leaked the case.I love the way you cut to the chase here.
I thankfully missed this disgraceful performance by Crier and thank those who saw it for their reports.

But the question is, how and why did his case get sealed? Why and how was the story supressed? Do we think any of this would have happened if he was Trent Lott?

"Ritter voted for Bush. Unlike the RATS, however, no matter what party you support, we want evil does prosecuted."Ritter is definitely evil...and bears watching like a hawk, because he is GOING to do this again. Unfortunately, if the networks give him a pass, he's liable to go traipsing off to Iraq and other Third World countries where perversions such as his aren't frowned upon.

Now I'm confused. The President has nothing to do with the appoinment or election of county judges. It's a special standard set only for republicans. See, if someone was a supporter of President Bush, why then the president is tarred with whatever that supporter of his does--in this case, the judge sealing the case (and whatever lame implications will be drawn from that).
The standard for dems is there is no standard. The clintons can form a business partnership of a dubious nature with the likes of the MacDougals and they aren't tainted by that relationship one bit.
To: doug from upland
Yes, I agree - no matter what party people are from, evil must be prosecuted.

But the question is, how and why did his case get sealed? This is my question. Especially when it came to light that he was caught in April 2001 and was given just a warning, why, when caught again the seeming special treatment.
Treatment that was not cleared by the DA and resulted in the firing of the ADA involved.

Maybe someone will tell us.

Would you fall for a set up?
If you were just hanging out on your computer and "happened" to meet a little girl, would you want to meet with her and propose she watch you ____ yourself?
Or let's say you were FReeping when some huge window opened - blinding you, and it was a young girl inviting you to Burger King for sex.... Would you be interested? Would any NORMAL adult be interested and therefore subject to being "stung?"

"Now I'm confused. The President has nothing to do with the appoinment or election of county judges."LOL...he doesn't.
Crier must be a DUmmy. They were saying over there the other night that the judge was a "Bush appointee"...I believe he IS an EEEEVEEEEL Republican, so he MUST be connected to the EEEVEEEEL BUSH!!
I'm amazed by the avid defense that Ritter ("a registered Republican") is getting from the RATS who are his biggest fans!
Now I'M confused...if the Republican judge is somehow a Bush appointee, then why is the Republican Ritter bashing the president whom he SAYS he voted for?? And if President Bush is EEEEVEEEL because he's Republican, and the JUDGE is EEEEVEEEL because he's a Republican, then why are the RATS - who are bashing Bush and the judge - DEFENDING Republican RItter?!?!

In the tradition of calling someone a Clymer, I suppose we can now tell someone to "go Ritter yourself."
