[history]
January 22, 2003 -- Former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter shouldn't have gotten a free pass after he was arrested for soliciting an underage girl in a police Internet sting, says the district attorney whose office muffed the case by dropping the charge.

People like that could have a great life at home, sexual or otherwise, but still want the thrill of something new and different with someone else. In this case, underaged girls. He's sick.
To: dennisw
He's as sick as the rest of the libnuts.

How about Larry Flynt? He was one of the Clinton investigative team, wasn't he? This is right up his alley.

His trip was cancelled. NOW he has to face the press in the good ole USA. How sweet it is.

Could be, the dems do seem to have the gutter covered. They publicly humiliated him in a congressional hearing, the guy goes undercover then comes out making a movie supporting Iraq, goes on every tv station, whines and moans about how wrong Bush is and now he gets exposed.
I don't think the exposure came from the left cause Scott was doing what they wanted. I think they knew about it and were using it to hold over his head. I think somebody found out and made some money off the news.
The whole thing just is just too wierd to not have helpful hands somewhere.

The $64,000 question is why ADA Cynthia Preiser gave him a pass.
Is she a Democrat?
Did NY rat political operative get to her under the guise of "National Security"?.
Is his wife KGB?

His trip was cancelled. NOW he has to face the press in the good ole USA. How sweet it is.He's going to be ducking & weaving, that's for sure. Or maybe his wife said, "get these reporters out of our front yard, Scott!"
I did e-mail Donahue during his MSNBC chat today about Ritter (asking him if he knew about Ritter's arrest for child enticement before he had him on the show), but Phil didn't answer the question. I was just shocked, shocked & dismayed that my question went unanswered, I tell ya.

"There was no under age victim."
Doesn't matter... The state is always a victim...
To: Dark Knight
The cop is 21 or better, and no amount of twisted logic will make her younger. In the case of the cop posing as a postitute, the cop is not a postitute and no amount of your weird logic will make her one. It is the intent to commit the crime that the John is charged with.
Newspapers often list the Johns that solicit a positute. Ritter's case should not have been handled any differently than anyone else's in the community. Since he already had been caught for the same crime and repeated the offense, I believe he was let off easy because of who he is.
Are you telling us that you do not believe the police have the right to pose as underage girls over the internet?
I am glad they are catching these perverts.
To: marajade
Tell me in your heart of hearts, are we that devoid of crime that we have to invent ficticious victims. Couldn't we start at Planned Parenthood, subpoena their records of the dirty old men that are fathering those aborted children with underage girls? Do you think that the state has such money that they can pay a person to troll the Internet to fake a misdemeanor or less?
If Scott Ritter had sex with that undercover officer it would not be crime. But using the Internet to meet her is? She is not and will never be a child again.
I probably should apologize to her because I keep making references to her, a 21+ year old police officer can never again be 14 or 15 or 16. But if she is Freeping, she can be cuter than a bug's ear.
The most important element of the crime is the age of this victim. She isn't even close to that age.

The victim isn't ficticious... the victim is the state.
To: marajade
Don't you think a crime against the state, where the victim is ficticious sounds a bit scary? I got chills just writing this.

"the 41-year-old father of young twin daughters" I hope Mommy is keeping a REAL close eye on Daddy.
To: Dark Knight
No... The state is always the secondary victim in EVERY crime...

The $64,000 question is why ADA Cynthia Preiser gave him a pass. I would suggest that she received a phone call from someone very important.

"The problem is that people have trouble seeing white, middle-class, well-educated men as potential child molesters" Oh PLEASE! It has NOTHING to do with race you morons! It has everything to do with being a pervert that is a threat to kids! What the h*ll is the matter with these people?

I am new. What is ping?

Rush said today that Ritter was supposedly babysitting for the children of the speakers at the abortion celebration dinner last night. Was he serious or was that a joke?

"Approved by a judge??? Just what is that supposed to mean????" Maybe the judge likes little girls too.
