[history]
January 22, 2003 -- Former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter shouldn't have gotten a free pass after he was arrested for soliciting an underage girl in a police Internet sting, says the district attorney whose office muffed the case by dropping the charge.

CV - Certainly seems that way. The Left loved their perv in the Whitehouse in the 90's. They are what they support.
MM - I wonder how FOXNews feels now about having had him on the payroll at one time. I hope they learn a lesson from this. IMHO, pinkos and lefties will ALWAYS show their unseemly sides - it's just a matter of time. I'm still trying to figure out why they keep Geraldo "The Bed-Hopping Ego" Rivera. In time, he too will embarass them...again. In fact, I wouldn't even lay odds on Mara and Greta. Bound to find the 'less than professional' side to those broads eventually. Liberals cannot live the lie forever.

Well, to be fair, Fox dumped him after he went off the deep end. E.D. was pretty strong in talking about this this morning.
I guess if Fox is going to be "fair and balanced" they are going to have to hire some liberals. There will probably be scandals from time to time, as you point out. Ailes is going to have to have a reserve of replacements on that side of the bench, I guess.

Bill Clinton denied and he got away with it.
There still seems to be more to all this that what has been reported. Who are these people that kept this stuff under seal? Was it to keep it from his wife only? Or is there more, much more and was used to hold over him?
Now if we had the kind of investigators the Clintons use we could get the whole story.

Well, if FOX is going to give Alan Colmes a radio show of his own, he might be able to compete if he gets to use 100% of his own brain plus the 50% of Rush's that's tied behind Rush's back.

If his wife is still with him she should have her head examined.
The media's refusal to cover this story is reprehensible.

Oh, not only is his wife still with him, but she's the one who has to contend with the press at home while Scott trotted off to Baghdad.
Nice guy, huh?

The fix was in?
To: kattracks
Maybe the problem was there was no 16 year old girl...or 14 year old girl. If this was an IQ test he'd flunk, but one of the elements of his supposed crime is that he put a young one at risk. There was no young one. Just an over aged cop. Doesn't anyone else find that kind of odd?
Of course if they found that he did this or attempted to do this with anyone underage, and they can search for that kind of information still left on his computer, or with his ISP, get him. And get him good. But this is weak.
DK
But civilly, I hope this keeps him and his trashy and bizarre views off the television. I keep wondering if he was flipped and how.

The case was sealed.... Heck even the DA himself wasn't aware of it... Its not FNC's fault... How would they have known until it became public?

There is justice for "them" then there is justice for the unwashed. Was involved with that for many years. Justice is a whore dressed in white.

Ritter, 41, who says his goal in going to Baghdad was to "wage peace," makes an unlikely anti war activist. He grew up in a military family and became an intelligence officer after college, where he studied Soviet history. Even early in his career, Ritter courted controversy. In 1991, after his first marriage to his college sweetheart ended, he married a Russian woman he met while posted in the former U.S.S.R. Despite initial suspicions that the translating service she worked for was being used by the Soviets to gather intelligence through "attempted sexual compromise," he satisfied himself that "this did not appear to be the case." He dismisses as "a form of harassment" what he says is an ongoing FBI probe of his wife based on allegations that she was a KGB spy.

Look on the face of evil, and, if you don't turn to stone, remember it well. Because this what we're up against, in America: an evil that is almost demonic in its pure malevolence, a dark destructive spirit that feeds on pain and is animated by the will to crush its enemies underfoot. This is the face of an enemy that must be defeated. Justin Raimondo
This is actually a pretty good paragraph. And I think...
Oh wait....he's talking about us, huh? Not Al Qaeda or Saddam Hussein?
Never mind.

It happens all the time... Solicitation is solicitation no matter who the supposed victim is... including the state...

Their foolishness in hiring him came long before any of this. If folks on FR could see (long ago) that Ritter was imbalanced, why couldn't Fox?
BTW, you don't have to answer that. I know it's important for them to have 'contrarians' in their tool shed. I would just suggest that they screen their tools a bit more closely.
To: Dark Knight
He was caught twice. Do you think he was actually trying to meet an overage cop?
