A BIG FReeper THANKS to all who bought The Clinton Legacy Cookbook. Your emails and comments on threads have been heartwarming and a wonderful reward to those of us who devoted our time and love to this project. We are grateful for your kind and humorous words and want each and every one of you to know we appreciate you taking the time to write.
Thanks to all those who loved the cookbook enough to order more for your friends and family, or who gave their copies away as gifts and wanted another copy of their own.
A big hug to all.

I'll bring the wine. We have enough whine from the liberals. Be daring!!! Try something you've never made before and share it with your fellow FReepers.

Sometime in February would be good...a Saturday would probably be best. The 15
th is the day after Valentine's Day...it could be a Valentine's Banquet. The 22
nd is Washington's birthday...Presidential Pot Luck? Which may be perfect for
The Clinton Legacy Cookbook...it's pretty much what we got for 8 years.

Head west and take a right at Chicago. Go north until your fingers freeze to the steering wheel...you'll be getting close. It's colder than Hillery's heart here today!!! BRRRRRRRRRRR...

Thought you folks might be interested in a letter I got from my sis in Arkansas:
Date: Wed, 22 Jan 2003 08:26:33 -0600 Subject: Clinton Legacy Hi! Thanks for the cookbook!!! ******* and I looked through it last night and laughed our heads off. I didn't realize that many people felt about them like we do. Tell me, how did this man ever get elected? When I heard he was running for president of the US, I thought it was a joke. And to see him win this election twice made me reevaluate the morality and intelligence of our country. Don't you know those other countries were amazed!!
This is supposed to be the highest office in our country and we twice elect someone who obviously has low morals and is a liar. How could people trust someone like that to want to see him in the White House? It's always been beyond my comprehension.
I truly believe we are a lazy nation and the people who could have kept him out of office chose to stay home and not vote. Now when he was governor here, he had his special interest groups, and people were hauled to the polls and told how to vote. That I can understand. But, a whole nation being deceived?????
The caricatures were hilarious - I'm going to order some copies for friends I know would appreciate the book. ******* and I are supposed to get together again in February so I will take it to her so she can see. She will appreciate the humor as much as we did.
You know, there are some fantastic recipes in there. I will be trying some of them. Thanks for the book.

Right now it is a balmy 21 degrees here in NYC. They predict single digits for tomorrow. My daughter is home fuming because she has a date tonight and the building ran out of oil, so there is no heat and hot water until the truck arrives. Poor thing raced home from the gym to shower because the pipes there froze. Now, she has to take an ice-cold shower at home.
I can't even be there to make her a hot cocoa!

I'm glad your sister enjoyed the Cookbook. Ironic that X42 is more well-liked in Harlem than in his own neck of the woods.
Little by little, word of the Cookbook will spread and Carlo3b will be our next president! He'll run on the "A Salsiccia in Every Skillet" platform. And we, his loyal staff, will get cabinet positions:
Top shelf - Christie
Middle shelf - Jellybean
Top drawer - Howie
A space next to the olives - Stanz

I told her to heat some water and sit in the bath, but no-o-o. It's not "clean enough."

PS TwoStep needs a cabinet position, too!
To: christie
Sorry to have excluded any staff. TwoStep could be given the post of Home "Range" Security.

Jeepers! First I'm appointed "Official Custodian of the Word Gobsmacked!" and now a middle shelf position in carlo3b's cabinet. Can I be Secretary of Pasta?

I wouldn't dream of invading your space! Guarding our nation's olive secrets is an awesome responsibility and I'm not sure I have the proper qualifications or clearance.
I'm quite happy in my middle shelf postion as Secretary of Pasta. I think our Departments will work well together though.
