This edition of Nationalsecurityonlines commentary opens with 9 powerful quotes from an article that details Saddam Husseins illegal weapons of mass destruction programs. Anyone with lingering doubts about Saddams willingness and capability to maintain and develop weapons of mass destruction in violation of U.N. sanctions should read this entire article carefully.
Put in proper perspective, the article shows that we should not be at all surprised that the Iraqis are not cooperating with U.N. weapons inspectors. Nor should we be surprised that the Iraqis are in possession of chemical-capable warheads in violation of U.N. resolutions or that an Iraqi scientist was found to have documentation related to nuclear weapons at his home, again in violation of U.N. resolutions.
The article shows that Saddam Hussein is a madman who will stop at nothing to develop weaponry that can kill thousands of innocent people and the evidence shows that he will not hesitate to kill civilians with these weapons.
Now, on to these important quotes:

If Scott Ritter ever had any credibility, that blows it to smithereens. Talk about destroying someone with his own words!
The left is using a PBS interview with him as a way to gain credibility for the anti-war side. Unfortunately, they don't include the rest of the program, which in my view was considerably more convincing. In this interview, Ritter sounded like a typical, poorly informed evasive leftist who left out vital pieces I'm sure he was well aware of.
If you see this one-sided excerpt, be sure to do a web search and read the rest of the program.

Thanks. Worth reading for the surprise.

Does Hannity or O'Reilly know about this article? I haven't heard about it before. How could Ritter possibly spin this?

Are you talking about "Loose Cannon" Scott Ritter, about "Hot-headed, belligerent" Scott Ritter, that Scott Ritter?

Or perhaps the Scott Ritter that the NY Daily News says was arrested for soliciting a minor?

Unless of course we are to believe that the Iraqis, after years of deception and non-cooperation, simply disposed of their weaponry and shut their programs down. Who could possibly believe THAT? Good read.
