NEW YORK CITY MAYOR FUMED OVER 'SMOKING' ON STAGE AT STONES CONCERT; BAND RACED OUT OF GARDEN AVOIDING COPS
**Exclusive**
New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is fuming mad over Rolling Stones members smoking on stage at Madison Square Garden during an nationally televised concert this weekend, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"The mayor sent cops to issue summonses," one stage source told the DRUDGE REPORT late Saturday. "But the cops watched the show, off stage, by a monitor, instead of stopping the concert."
MORE
HBO cameras captured band members Keith Richards and Ron Wood smoking cigarettes while performing.
"The band raced out of the Garden after they finished their last number, avoiding the police," an insider said. "The music had not even finished playing; and they were in cars already, spinning away. The did not even go to their dressing rooms!"
In December, ex-smoker Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a strict smoking ban in New York City.
Bloomberg is also trying to get smoking banned in Central Park.

Bloomberg isn't thinking, that's the problem. Just like in a good portion of New York towns and cities. One place in particular raised the business taxes and finally purposefully ran the businesses out.
Then later whined about how the area was suddenly economically depressed.
Sounds like this is Bloomberg's master plan.

(It is racism, in a way. They're Brits. That'd be an interesting angle to play.)

That would be very interesting...but of course its not a crime to be racist to a White Person is it?

Yeah the stones are pretty slick, they are probobly laughing about this today.Keith likely chain smokes in order to handle the incredible amount of stress performing in front of large amounts of people causes him.I would have liked to see what would have gone down had the good mayor tried to walk on stage and grab the cigarette off the headstock of his guitar.Might have been a broken telecaster after it was all over. How the hell did he know they were smoking on stage anyway.I can just hear the report now:we have an urgent situation-Keith Richards is smoking a cigarette on stage.Big emergency.

I can hear Bloomberg now....
"lets quickly raise the taxes and have a government funded study done!!"

One wonders what would have happened had the Rolling Stones been Islamic or Arabic and smoked on stage? We would be hearing some racist cries right about now.Me thinks if they were anything but caucasian, it would have never hit the presses. (offense to anybody is completely unintended) I'm convinced that this Mayor is nothing more than a nut! I don't live in NYC but after what happened back in 9/01 one would think that for the sake of business these emotional outcries from a dignitary would be somewhat stiffled.

Well, this just demonstrates which way morality is going. (hint: "down the tubes!")
In prior years screaming obscenities, stomping baby kittens and taking your pants off on stage were supposedly enough to get you arrested. Now that's chump change and it's gone to lighting up a cigarette.
Which Morality Police would anybody here prefer: the Usual or the Liberal Left Wing? Me? I prefer the Usual. At least you know they won't bayonet you or throw you in a concentration camp for your unlawful thoughts!

when entertainers and such start taking their business to Jersey instead of NYCCute screen name.
To: ConservativeMan55
True, true... but it'd be fun to see the look on their faces to be hit with a racism lawsuit for it.
Not that Bloomberg would be fazed by it.

HBO cameras captured band members Keith Richards and Ron Wood smoking cigarettes while performing. I don't care much for their music, but civil disobedience for freedom is always heartwarming :)

Cute screen name. I had a hard time choosing between that and "Anonymous_Coward" - they both apply equally well. LOL.

I can also assure you that Mr. Richards doesn't give a rat's *ss for Mayor Bloomberg's prohibition.Neither should anyone else.
A little well-placed civil disobedience might just remind these fascist elitists who they actually work for.

Methinks New York needs a regime change....
To: ConservativeMan55
Aye, it does.
BUt that can't, and won't happen until the people in the city learn that the left doesn't have their best interests in mind.
That, and those abetting vote fraud here leave.
