NEW YORK CITY MAYOR FUMED OVER 'SMOKING' ON STAGE AT STONES CONCERT; BAND RACED OUT OF GARDEN AVOIDING COPS
**Exclusive**
New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is fuming mad over Rolling Stones members smoking on stage at Madison Square Garden during an nationally televised concert this weekend, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"The mayor sent cops to issue summonses," one stage source told the DRUDGE REPORT late Saturday. "But the cops watched the show, off stage, by a monitor, instead of stopping the concert."

HBO cameras captured band members Keith Richards and Ron Wood smoking cigarettes while performing.
"The band raced out of the Garden after they finished their last number, avoiding the police," an insider said. "The music had not even finished playing; and they were in cars already, spinning away. The did not even go to their dressing rooms!"
In December, ex-smoker Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a strict smoking ban in New York City.
Bloomberg is also trying to get smoking banned in Central Park.

"The mayor sent cops to issue summonses," one stage source told the DRUDGE REPORT late Saturday. "But the cops watched the show, off stage, by a monitor, instead of stopping the concert." The cops realized that the Stones were merely smoking pot, had they been smoking cigarettes, they would have had no choice but to send in the SWAT Team. No harm, no foul!

What an idiot. Trying to legislate behavior and PC 'morals'.
Ah, it must be nice to serve the New gods of the Left and not have to worry about such things as intelligence (Because they left that path long ago, before the left even started!) and conscience (Sold to the Devil for power.).

One wonders how long it will be before Cheeseburgers are banned. Because they are 'unhealthy' and set a bad example.

Doesn't this clown of a Mayor have better things to worry about than Keith and Ron lighting up on stage? I mean, if you've ever been to a Stones concert or for that matter ANY rock concert at The Garden, any tobacco aroma is more than trumped by the ganja smoke.
He's lucky Keith wasn't hooked up to a heroin drip while on stage.
I think Bloomberg will be to NYC what Gray Davis has been to California. Isn't there some way he can be stripped of the (R) next to his name before it's too late?

I wonder if Bloomberg is putting out an All Points Bulletin on the STONES?
Bloomberg: Be on the look-out for the Smoken Stones. hehe...

Well, that's what the guy suing the fast food chains is aiming for..
They've already made it your duty to make sure your second hand smoke doesn't leave your house and mug your neighbor, rape his dog, violate his wife, and steal his identity.

I actually hung out for one night with Keith Richards about two years ago. He is a pleasant, good natured alcoholic, actually a decent guy as far as I could tell.
My eyes watered at his non-stop cigarette chain smoking. This continued when he got up on stage at the small Blues club to play with the band. He put his cigarette into the frets of his guitar and toked between numbers.
I can also assure you that Mr. Richards doesn't give a rat's *ss for Mayor Bloomberg's prohibition.

How long will this smoking ban last when entertainers and such start taking their business to Jersey instead of NYC? Isn't NYC in big budget trouble as it is? What's this guy thinking.

One wonders what would have happened had the Rolling Stones been Islamic or Arabic and smoked on stage?
We would be hearing some racist cries right about now.
