Americans opposed to waging war in Iraq streamed into Washington under blue skies and bright sunshine January 18, 2003 for mass protests demanding the White House back down and give U.N. weapons inspectors a chance. Tens of thousands of people are expected to demonstrate in Washington and San Francisco, representing what organizers said would be the largest showing of U.S. anti-war sentiment since President Bush (news - web sites) started making his case for attacking Baghdad last year. Well I am getting ready to leave to join my fellow Freepers and support our troops. I am ready to change a few hearts and minds, but peacefully and tactfully
Good for you! I am there in spirit. Dress warm, Freepers!

Ya know, we ought to find out what the going pay rate is on these rent-a-mobs and jump on some of these buses and let THEM transport US to some of these things. My guess is not much because they can't even afford to buy ONE muffin to eat
Ever notice how MAJORITY of these idiots are under 25 yrs old .. chances are they have no jobs, pay no taxes and are sucking off of mommy and daddy's income
And the older ones never grew up from the 60's
But I sure do like your idea about the buses .. FOFL

The Leadre of the Iraqi Congree just spoke. his comments
"This is not just about Weapons of mass destruction, it is also about Saddam being a murder and killing his own people. If you want to forget about WMDs. just remember that you are fighting for the liberation of the Iraqi people and Iraq. We know you don't plan a war of occupation and we, the Iraqi Congress, want to see us governing ourselves."
That is a part of Ali-Taee's comments.
This is the last speaker of the day as they are about to wrap up and go to lunch. They had lots of news coverage at the rally.
Though there were some "wise-guys" probably from Comedy Central going around and asking silly questions like "So you want to kill people?" and stuff like that FTH was not sure what that was about.
