I have Ritter's Sworn testimony in a Senate hearing back in 99. He and his fellow inspectors were pulled out of Iraq by the "Stainmaker" in 1998 because Iraq was not complying and Clinton needed something to distract from his numerous scandals. Scott Ritter was telling a totally different story back then.
Scott Ritter has been back to Iraq to co-produse a pro-Iraqi documentary movie about the Gulf War, He was supposedly paid $55K and Scott Claims he spent the money on finishing the film or something to that effect. He then went back to Iraq late last year to address Saddam's faithful in a nationwide address. He questioned his CIC's intentions and sided with the Iraqi's. At this point the State Department should have taken away his citizenship and let him stay in Iraq.
I would love to know how much money or fame it took for Scott Ritter to willingly trash the USA on the soil of an enemy that killed many of his fellow Marines.
My Cousin a Marine, who served in Vietnam until stepping on a land mine in 1968. who is more like a brother to me, who also lived in my parents home with us because his father was killed in the Korean War, Says that Scott Ritter had better stay away from any armed Marines because he believes they would frag him in a New York minute

It has really puzzled me why Ritter made 180 degree turn. Me too. I know the klintoon admin really screwed him over but to the point he'd screw the American people for revenge?? As of yet there doesn't seem to be a money trail. I really don't get it.

Besides being so wrong, I wonder why Ridder is so beligerent? I'd say there is a good possibility the Feds have something on SR and he knows it. I hope he is on a short leash.

When Susteren showed a graphic containing the text of Ritter's own words for the reason for his resignation, Ritter responded by saying that Susteren was essentially "out of line" for displaying such an inflammatory statement.
I'm still laughing about that.

Furthermore the greatest threat from the 'Axis of Evil' is North Korea,I was listening to Rush today. He said there are 3 reasons to have weapons of mass destruction. 1. Countries who announce they have WMD ,such as the USA, China, etc.(As a deterent) 2. Countries who announce they have WMD such as North Korea. (In order to gain political favor) 3. Countries who do not announce they have WMD like Iraq (In order to use them against other countries.)
I think the President of the United States, George W. Bush and Rush Limbaugh has it about right. Our biggest threat at this time is Iraq.

Why did Ritter do a turnabout? Hmm, maybe this --
From another thread "Grim Truth About to emerge in Iraq" by Christopher Hitchens:
"A very senior former inspector, who is a highly-regarded international civil servant, told me that he had been offered his own personal Swiss bank account by a top official in Saddam's government, on condition that he produced a favourable report.
HE declined the offer, which he later discovered had been accepted by some junior members of his staff."
Junior member named Ritter, perhaps? Hmmmmm?

Had my mute button on as well! I truly believe God created mute buttons for the Scott Ritters of this world.
In fact, why don't you to hold him down while I apply the duct-tape.

That works for me! Would love to see his mouth duct taped.
I wore out my mute button during the 2000 elections when the Florida fiasco happened! Had to buy a new remote!

I did a double take also, Hell.... They were his words, not hers :-)
I think Scott Ritter needs a small but scenic room reserved for him at GITMO. As far as I'm concerned he qualifies as an enemy combatant

If this is true, he's not worth the cigarette or the bullet.

I think the President of the United States, George W. Bush and Rush Limbaugh has it about right. Our biggest threat at this time is Iraq. Why do you think that Iraq, a weak defeated nation is a greater threat than a nation with nuclear weapons, a million man army and the ability to wipe out 37,000 United States troops?

Junior member named Ritter, perhaps? I figured it out. He's p.o.ed that Gore didn't win and now he can't enjoy his megabucks til much, much later. Nothing else makes sense!

It was $400k Hmmm, Where the hell did I get 55K? Thanks for clearifying that. 400k is serious cheese for a retired Marine.
I believe he is married to a Russian also

it's unquestionably true. he has not only admitted it, he is proud of it.:
O'REILLY: Last question, and this is a very important question. You've been criticized for taking $400,000 from a guy who's friendly with Saddam Hussein to make a film. Should you have done that?
RITTER: You're damn right I should have.

Why do you think that Iraq, a weak defeated nation is a greater threat than a nation with nuclear weapons, a million man army and the ability to wipe out 37,000 United States troops? Uhmmm...because it's Muslim, tied in with terrorist killers who want to kill as many of US as possible, and will if given the opportunity; because it is situated in a much more sensitive area for us strategically...and lots more good reasons.
What kind of an axe are you grinding on this?
If NK gets too far out of hand, it is surrounded by countries that will pound it into sand in short order.
