BOB GRAHAM -- ABORTION BACKER
J. Grant Swank, Jr., POB l984, Windham ME 04062
Pastor, New Hope Church, Windham ME
Bob Graham (D-FL) is in the Demo circle contending for US President -- along with others promising Nirvana if only Bush can be dumped. Oh well, give them their day. It's a democracy and we would not want the alternative.
When it comes to a major conservative issue -- pro-life -- Graham is not on the side of life, the innocent child in a womb, and biblical morality.
He, a church person (United Church of Christ), is not holding true to the Bible one would assume he holds in his hands in worship. In other words, Bob Graham is on the side of those who murder babies in mothers' wombs -- plain and simple -- and honest. That is sad, but it must be the sad truth broadcast far and wide when it comes to those desiring to be United States President.
For instance, the most horrific bill to be placed before the United States Congress -- partial birth abortion -- was voted FOR by the following in the Senate: Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Barbara Boxer (D-Ca), Christopher J. Dodd (D-CT), Joseph I Liebermann (D-CT) and BOB GRAHAM (D-FL).
So there are two contenders for the presidency: Joe Liebermann and BOB GRAHAM, who cast their votes for killing children who have no voice. That must never be ignored nor forgotten. It must be a crucial issue at the top of every moral citizen's conscience. It is not a footnote item; it is a top priority imperative.
According to the National Right to Life offices, Graham voted NO on the following bills before Congress:
- Ban on abortions in military medical facilities (6-20-2000)
- Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act (10-21-1999)
- Child Custody Protection Act -- Cloture Vote (9-22-1998)
Graham voted YES on
Roe v Wade endorsement (10-21-1999)
Clinton unrestricted funding for "population assistance" (02-25-1997)
Graham, with his executive offices in Tallahassee, is serving a third term as Demo from Florida. An attorney, he's served in his home state House (1966-69) and Senate (1970-78) as well as Governor from 1979-1987.
The youngest of four children, he was born on November 9, 1936 in Dade County, Florida, to Ernest "Cap" Graham (a Florida state senator, mining engineer and dairy farmer) and Hilda Simmons Graham (a school teacher). Educated at the University of Florida, he earned a BA in 1959, then an LLB from Harvard University in 1962.
He is married to the former Adele Khoury of Miami Shores. Their children are Gwen Graham Logan, Cissy Graham McCullough, Suzanne Graham Gibson and Kendall Graham Elias.
In Congress, Graham has served on various committees, including Energy and Natural Resources, Environment and Public Works, Finance, Select Committee on Intelligence and Veterans' Affairs.
The question I would like to put to Mr. Graham is this: What if, for some "reason," your four daughters had been aborted?
Democrat Party: pro-abortion.
