After reading this RNC Research paper, it seems we are left to ask Will the "REAL" Joe LIEberman please stand up?

Good stuff. We need to disseminate similiar materials on all of the RAT challengers, wherever possible.
Glad to see the party getting their act together on op research...although this should have come from the Senatorial committee. Last time I saw them do anything useful along these lines was about 8 years ago.
LIEberman is a sleazeball.

The RNC has done GREAT WORK! on the various Dwarfs as they've declared their intention to run for President. And they've been right on top it, too. Clearly, the Lieberman piece has been waiting in the wings for him to announce.
I'm thrilled the RNC has been so thorough and quick in getting out their findings.

Sen. Lieberman is a very irresponsible politician, an ultimate opportunist unfit to lead this nation anywhere.
"[The] United States of America and the Kosovo Liberation Army stand for the same human values and principles ... Fighting for the KLA is fighting for human rights and American values."" (Sen. Lieberman quoted in the 'Washington Post,' April 28, 1999)
According to The Wall Street Journal Europe, November 01, 2001 (Link is here):
"... The Balkans´ uncharacteristically silent exit from the world stage as the most prominent international hot spot of the last decade belies its status as a major recruiting and training center of Osama bin Laden´s al Qaeda network. By feeding off the region´s impoverished republics and taking root in the unsettled diplomatic aftermath of the Bosnia and Kosovo conflicts, al Qaeda, along with Iranian Revolutionary Guard-sponsored terrorists, have burrowed their way into Europe´s backyard.
For the past 10 years, the most senior leaders of al Qaeda have visited the Balkans, including bin Laden himself on three occasions between 1994 and 1996. The Egyptian surgeon turned terrorist leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri has operated terrorist training camps, weapons of mass destruction factories and money-laundering and drug-trading networks throughout Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Bosnia. This has gone on for a decade. Many recruits to the Balkan wars came originally from Chechnya, a jihad in which Al Qaeda has also played a part.
... They have however been disguised under the cover of dozens of "humanitarian" agencies spread throughout Bosnia, Kosovo and Albania. Funding has come from now-defunct banks such as the Albanian-Arab Islamic Bank and from bin Laden´s so-called Advisory and Reformation Committee. One of his largest Islamist front agencies, it was established in London in 1994. ..."
My question for candidate Lieberman: Why did we supply arms to Islamic terrorists in Albania to attack Serbian police, and then condemned the Serbs for excessive civilian deaths in fighting terrorism?
It's time to send the Serbian peacekeepers back to Kosovo to fight Islamic terrorists and end this crazy Bill Clinton adventure.

Congratulations to the RNC!!!! Great job! Lieberman will never get the nomination - the liberals hate him. However, it sure is great to see the truth SOMEWHERE!!!

As with Al Gore there is no real Joe. There is a real Hillary, one that stands for her own power and narcissistic needs and she is pretty up front about it even when she lies the truth shines through. Joe however, thinks he has us fooled. He thinks we believe he is an Orthodox Jew with strong convictions. He is not and does not.
The American people may have no trouble with his Jewishness, excluding of course, most angry blacks, all Muslims a lot of whom are angry blacks, and all antisemitics. Then there's the European community to be taken into account. They mostly qualify as antisemetic. What about Israel? Will they be happy to see Joe as President (if he had a hope in hell)?
To the rest of us he is just another democrat in the senate who thinks he can wrest the Presidency from G.W. doing his Bring Back the American Dream liberal class baiting. No matter how strongly Joe may feel about something he never comes across as decisive, except when he yells "I Will Be The President" to the press, who cover their mouths to hide the smirk. Nevertheless, the same shaky whiney voice emitting from the melting face of Joe belies any amount of shouting. He simply has not got what it takes to be President, a commanding presence and strong convictions. Even his hand slapping of Clinton during the impeachment was for the cameras and the press. He campaigned during the Sabath with AlGore, but that's ok, he had to do it. Nobody seemed to notice.
Last, but not least, I have misgivings about a first lady named Hadassah, and I am not antisemetic, an angry black, Muslim, or a European, just an ordinary dumb American.

Joe Lieberman is what Isaac Newton meant when he predicated his laws of motion. You will recall that Newton stated that for every force there is an equal and opposite force; well! Lieberman is both of these forces acting in unison. Or as Ella used to sing; First you say you do,and then you don't. Then you say you will and then you won't etc.
The man is a hypocrite par excellence.

I just logged on tonight (Tuesday morning, actually!) and found your 'ping'. At various times today, depending on the news source, I heard Lieberman described as 'moderate', 'conservative', 'moral conscience', etc.
I heard he was 'pro school vouchers', 'anti-terrorism', 'pro military'.
After all this, sort of makes you wonder why he LOST in 2000! Oh wait - I forgot! It was Al's fault.
My quick take on Lieberman. He doesn't have a snowflake's chance, for these reasons.
1. Too short
2. Terrible voice
3. Inconsistent views (goes wobbly)
4. He's always late to the party. He's not a policy iniatiator....he's a 'me too' kind of guy
5. He lacks the 'vision thing'. I have yet to hear him say why HE wants to be President. He says why he doesn't want GWB (or any other Republican) to be President, but he has no articulate message of his own.
The one thing that distinguishes him from the rest of the field is that he is a recent LOSER....and that is a difficult image to shake.

After reading this RNC Research paper, it seems we are left to ask Will the "REAL" Joe LIEberman please stand up? Don't count on it PKM, I'm not sure even LIEberman himself even remembers who the "Real" Joe LIEberman is.
A lefty editorial cartoonist with the Hartford Courant likes to draw Gov. RINOwland in a Sgt. Bilko light complete with a windvane on his helmet to see which way the political winds are blowing (and rightly so). I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Jiminy Joe will not receive the same treatment despite his far more aggregious record of flip-flopping.

Joe Lieberman, someone who I used to like, has done too many flip-flops for me to have any idea what, if anything, he stands for. His word just no longer means much.
