Congratulations to President Bush. I take back my several negative comments regarding the Administration's unwillingness to press for their nominees.
God Bless President Bush! (Again...)

Otto Reich is still among the missing.

...and I thought Dass-hole was a small man. With Sen. Emily List on the handle end of his chain.

Remember, it was a Communist (Gus Savage) who originally said...
"There's not a dime's worth of different betweeen the two parties."Another one of them "big lie" thingies.
Whenever someone talks about there really just being one party, I immediately know which side they're on. And it ain't the side with the eagle. (No matter how many times they call themselves a "conservative")

OK get your bricks ready.... Republicans need all the help we can get to keep the great ship USA on the best course. Libertarians and conservative Democrats are welcome. The alternative: Socialism, C/O the Democrat Party. You choose.

AMEN.

I can't answer your political question. It doesn't matter because your are on a religious crusade against Lott and this is a religion to you.

This is good news. I just caught this tonight.
I haven't read the thread either.

GAWD!!! I'm sick to death of reading about the CFR!! Shut UP!!
If Bush had vetoed it, McCain and his Democrat boyfriends would have brought it back over and over again...everytime using it to damage Bush and the GOP Congress as much as possible. But since he was brilliant enough to sign it in the hallway, on the way to lunch (snubbing McCain), now it can be PERMANENTLY killed by the Supremes and buried with a sprig of holly thru its heart.
Bush out-smarted them again ( as usual) and showed he cared more about the issue than the politics.
Give it a friggin' rest. He's a whole lot smarter than you.

He was advised to apologize immediately, via the FIRST news media available, LIVE. He was on vacation in Florida and disregarded good advice. Yes. This is a common problem among senators, who spend so much time in the beltway that they become tone deaf to the most urgent concerns of the citizenry.

This is not what the media "experts" told us after Trent Lott was sacked. They said that Judge Pickering, a Mississippian, would pay the price for the Lott birthday remark. It is very good to hear that the President is bringing back this nomination. Is he doing the same for Justice Owen of TX?
To: Mad_Tom_Rackham
Yep. Been there to long. It's my lot in life but I gotta go. heheheee. See you fine folks later. :)
To: RobFromGa
Great news hopefully the dems won't start playin the race card but we know that'll happen anyways.

Can't a Senator put a "secret hold" on any nomination? Or is that just a Senator from the nominee's home state? Or am I thinking of something else completely?

ROFL!
The only thing sillier than your attempt to not gloat...is ME counting your 'gloats'.
Good job Poohbah, you typed FIFTY 'gloats'.
One for each state in our fantastically incredible United States of America!
