Frist and Lott are in lock step. So, tell us all, what exactly does Lott completely ignoring Frist accomplish for the "party?"

Hey, it's a show, after all. Unexpected actions keep the opposition unbalanced and bogged.

That's all there is to tell, really. He ignored Frist completely and gave daschle a big hug and a big smile. He doesn't want to give up his ML office to Frist. In other words, he's acting like a petulant child. Reminds me of john mccain...bitter, petty...

"...the Dems are concerned most about the Supremes..."
Whatever the fallout of the Pickering nomination, GW is sending the Dems a message that his Supreme Court nominee(s) will be the real deal...not moderate wimpouts.
I'd bet that the Dems are finally, REAL worried.

Can the Rats filibuster indefinitely? If so, what is the point of having a majority unless you have 60 seats?
Always confused by this...

"George Allen was quite an embarassment today with Roberts' Rules. " Yikes! Oh no!
( I'll look on the Thomas site to see what when on today. Sound like it was a show worth watching.)

Oh! how bright of you, I guess when Enron "LEGALLY" donated to the Bush Campaign 18 months ago, Bush should of turned it down just in case someday they went belly up?
Are you really that stupid? or are you just another pouting liberal who's drueling at the mouth thinking you have a scandal to pin on the President

Miss Marple...
I would never make any indication as to you or anyone being ignorant. I do take exception when republicans consider Free Republic as their domain. It states at the very top "Conservative Forum".. If Robinson changes that to Republican Forum, I would gladly leave.
The republicans, every two years come looking for conservative votes, the democrats know better. Therefore, why on earth would republicans on FR want to alienate conservatives??? I would hope that the republican party would not treat us the same way, keep your opinions to yourselves, but vote for us every two years.
I think that is less than honest. Just my personal observation. OK get your bricks ready....

Your are "obtuse"! Frist and Lott are in lock step. Everything they do is for the Republican party's success.Oh, brother...now I've heard it all. Hugging daschle today and ignoring Frist is all for the good of the Republican Party.

I know how you feel about the Lott deal (I REALLY DO!), But in the world of politics things like that happen when you slip up, and Trant slipped up to the point where he couldn't be helped. You shouldn't trash the Republican party or your fellow FReepers who feel it was time for Lott to step down as the leader.
And FR is still ths same nuthouse it has always been :-)

In fairness to Allen, the GOP thought they had a deal and Hillary sandbagged them by trying to amend the bill SHE supposedly sponsored and they didn't know what to do!

this president will go on a little effort at educating the American people about what is going on here. I already thought of that while I typed my response earlier.....and I am envisioning j.u.s.t what you said. I can see it now. Boy, oh boy, will he be a educatin'. : ) I very much look forward to the thumping on the heads.
