More Crew to come...
Carnival's cruise ship Triumph docked at St. Thomas.
Ahoy, Freepers! Why not make your next year's vacation a FREEPER CRUISE? Can't think of a better idea!
United we stand for conservative activism AND some good old-fashioned fun, too!
This cruise thread will be running right up until embarkation day. It'll be packed with lots of information.
Post your enthusiastic comments here. Links are provided below for stateroom/fares information, registration form and
the Bahama Mama Q&A thread devoted solely to answers for all your cruise questions and to provide you with smooth sailing.
We strongly urge you to register ASAP. We need a certain number of registrations by a mid-January cutoff date
to ensure our reserved block of cabins with Carnival. From many communications we've received since last year's terrific cruise,
we're certain the interest is out there. We don't want to have to deep-six this event if we don't get enough registrations in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE to hold off on making your air tickets reservations until we give you the go-ahead.
We have more than ample lead-time for this cruise and you'll be able to get good air-fare bargains in plenty of time!
Since some air-transportation tickets are non-refundable, we don't want anyone to be left holding the ditty-bag.
As an incentive for early registration, the first 20 Freepers to get their reservations into the travel agency
will win their choice of five (5) sheets of Ocents.com stamp sheets (go to that website for Seeking the Truth's array of terrific stamps!)
They will also receive a usflagballoon.com pin courtesy of Abner (check out Abner's usflagballoon website
to view the colorful pin and some excellent pictures of the US Flag Balloon!) Registrations will be dated and time-stamped by the agency.
Winners will be notified and they'll receive their gift stamps and pins via mail.
We've got a great contest planned for later. A lucky winner will receive a FREE cabin for two!
Last year, the contest was won by our Freeper pal, Taxman. This time it may be you!
Bookmark this thread. We'll keep you posted as plans evolve. Register now for this fun-filled getaway in the sun!
Informal FRN meetings will be held on board which will be full of information and idea-sharing for effective conservative activism.
Rock the boat with your fellow Freepers! Climb aboard today!
This page is for about the cruise.
If you have questions, do not post them here.
Use the Bahama Mama link and ask them there.
Thank you!

Cruise Announcement Thread One - Please read only and make comments back here. Thank you.
It's time for freepers to actually see what it is they've been hearing about for so long! I love watching CNNI's news and analyzing its presentations of it. Really sharpens my skills on spin to a fine point.
The commentators and news readers are different from those we see on our home TVs except when they switch to Wolfie or some other stateside CNN commentator for a report. The newsreaders all have different accents and the usual international slant on things.
However, I must admit that CNN International's coverage is terrific because of its long-established presence in various countries and hot-spots around the world, including enemy territory.
Freeper cruisers will enjoy 24/7, on-the-spot, late-breaking news while on this voyage!

These cruises depend upon freeper interest and participation to continue.
I don't know what has been considered in the past, but one thing that might be tried to improve participation, if it hasn't, is to convince a big name guest speaker to go along (perhaps by paying for his/her cabin). That would certainly be a draw. Whether or not it would be enough, I have no idea. It's just something to consider if it hasn't already been.
You sound like quite a sea-lover!
You bet! As a teen, I was in Sea Scouts. I also worked on fishing and sightseeing boats as a teen. When it came time to join the service, I chose the Navy. I sailed a 29 foot sloop for a while. My wife and I have been on numerous cruises on 8 different cruise lines. And to top it all off, as I mentioned above, we are in the early stages of designing a yacht to retire to.
Yes. It would be a safe bet to say that I am a sea lover. As far as I'm concerned, the most wonderful sound in the world is the sound of waves breaking off the bow and nowhere on Earth are the stars as beautiful as they are at sea. And, that's not to mention the scuba diving. The only reason that I can see for living on land, is so you will be better able to appreciate life on the sea.
P.S. Well there is one sound that would be better than the sea. "Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, you have the right to remain silent." :-)
On this cruise we'll present some good informative and interesting programs and will rely on our own freeper talent to do so. Our programs and workshops last cruise were fantastic and we didn't have a big name speaker at all.
However, FRN's regular yearly national conferences, such as FRiva last year in Nevada, always feature a prominent speaker and very professional workshops. The speaker at FRiva was Laura Ingraham, noted TV pundit, radio talk-show host and no-holds-barred tiger.
The cruises are an extra dollop of cream on the FR pudding........ a little more laid back, giving freepers an opportunity to meet and interact with each other, exchange political ideas and experiences and have some great fun in a relaxed atmosphere.
I enjoy reading your "sea tales" and your interesting plans for a future home on the bounding main. Let us know how things are going from time to time. With your sea-going experience, if you're able to make a future FRN cruise, we'll personally pipe you aboard and dub you "First Admiral of the Freep"!

Enjoy!"
Happy St. Valentine's Day to all from your cruise committee!

If you're still pondering, get your reservation in anyhow to nail down your cabin.
You can always cancel up till March 22 without any penalty. Phone our travel agent, Wanda, today at toll-free 1-800-890-7583. We want not one chillun left at the dock when the freepship "Triumph" sails.
The very name, "Triumph" augers well for this Caribbean vacation voyage.

Flowers wilt, chocolates melt, but cruise memories last a lifetime!!!
They can't and won't get away for a week's cruise with a limited audience on board.
I thought that might be the case and that someone else had probably already checked it out. I just mentioned it, in case it had not already been considered. There may be some FReeper out there who has a great idea to increase attendance, but has not yet mentioned it. We all need to mention our ideas, no matter how obvious or unlikely they may seem.
Actual picture of the last one, that was waaay too short
;-(
We freepers were gathered just a little behind this sandy beach, under shady palm trees, jabbering away, eating luau-type food at our picnic tables and flagging the beach-waiters for frothy, icy-cold coconut/rum head-busters, LOL!
We had a big "Free Republic.com" banner strung between two tropical trees to mark our turf. We're bringing it with us again this time if Bob J can find it in his catacombs, that is!
Freepers, all this can be yours on our FReeps Ahoy cruise as we're planning a great beach party for our group when we go to Grand Cayman's famous Seven Mile Beach. All it takes is one phone call to sign up for this fantastic voyage. Get movin'!
I wish I had a time-machine to take me back to that fun-filled day we spent at Coco Cay. Thanks for posting this (I'm drooling!)
Leni
Picture yourself joining other Freepers on this...
...you and a loved one or friend living in this.
For one week all this and more can be yours.
Don't let your chance to participate fade away.
Make that phone call today.
