Anyway, I thought I would take the time since a false charge was made (that tons of stuff gets pulled) and list all the threads that have been pulled since December 29th, not including those posted by returning bannees , those pulled per the request of the poster (usually because they messed it up and wanted to post it over), and not including those pulled for being duplicates.

On the 29th: "Hitler, All Too Human", a vanity by a newbie defending Hitler.
"E-Gold Accounts (Vanity)", a solicitation.
"Deomcratic Underground on the warpath", pulled because we don't want the forum innundated with threads about the strange views of the DU crowd
"2030: Looking Backwards [Catholic Theocracy in America]", anti-Catholic bigotry,
"From science and computers, a new face of Jesus", pulled by Jim for being flame bait nonsense

On the 30th, none.

On the 31st, "NEED HELP FINDING A ARTICLE ON ELIJAH WOODS", a one line vanity claiming Woods is gay
"Help Save Martha (vanity)", solicitation.
"Sixpack's scenario on America's Fate...", advocating sedition
"WHY DID MY ARTICLE AND MY POSTING PRIVILIGES GET REVOKED", by the guy who was advocating sedition
"PROTESTANTS WITH SMELLS AND BELLS", anti-protestant flame bait
"Airports Are Safe! Have No Fear!", racism.

On the 1st, "Sign Up For The DU And Inject Your Opinion", see above.
"Those who refuse to learn from history are condemned to repeat it. (Bush=Hitler)", propaganda.
"Demand Resignation of Senator Praising Osama!", solicitation
"Study: Married men have less testosterone than singles", Jim pulled this thread because it was getting way out of hand and not really relevant to the site charter.
"Before you gotta go, think of the possibilities (1/3 of women ages 35 and 44 delay urinating daily)", inappropriate for the forum.

On the 2nd, "The Threat To American Life", bigotry.
"'ARTIST' EATS BABY ON TV'", gratuitous.
"Chinese artist defends baby-eating", urban legend (and previously posted in a different form)

On the 3rd, "Conservative Database available!!!", solicitation.
"Why Isn't Randi Rhodes Syndicated?", advertisement for a liberal talk show host.
"Identity Thief Returns Identity To Victim; Claims To Have Been 'Scared Straight'", unsourced- poster was requested to provide the source.
"Las Vegas opens first gay resort", Jim pulled for being gratuitous.
"Boycott China", one line vanity that should have been a reply to any number of threads instead of its own thread
"Maryland State Police Reach Deal On Profiling Agreement Targets Race-Based Searches", offensive language.
"Think Hard", propaganda.

On the 4th, "Dear Fellow Americans:", solicitation.
"an open letter to the people who are spamming this forum", pulled by Jim.

And today: "Cuba spies", unsourced. Poster requested to provide the source for the article.

Be that as it may, XBob, you're not helping your cause...as I am also not a prophet, I cannot help but foresee and end to your ability to try to get it back to something that might make you happier....as I have only been a member for a year and a half, I cannot claim to know "what it used to be like." I am content, however, knowing that this is a great place, overall, to share many ideas and keep informed, and make friends, besides.

MinuteGal is not, AFAIK, a moderator. While she is someone worth listening to due to her conscientiousness and her intelligence, she is not the person to ask for such a list. Jim is. He allows those who share the Moderator accounts to work as his representatives to some degree, but the only person who sets the rules is Jim.

sorry - i re-read my response and I guess I misconveyed what I meant, which was,

since we now have 'moderators' (not police), a lot of stuff is getting pulled, and we don't know why, and that is a shame. It supresses a lot of good posts and good discussions, as no one ever knows what is going to be pulled.

Here's a great rule of thumb on knowing what will get pulled.

The things that get pulled are things that Jim, the owner of this website, doesn't want on his website. He's been pretty clear and consistent (for the most part) on what he will not allow. At least it's pretty clear to me.

It's really that simple. I don't know why it's such a difficult concept for you and why you keep going on and on and on and on....and on about it.

I also want to commend you and the other Admin Mods for the good job you do. Too often you are referred to in derogatory terms and castigated for simply doing the job the OWNER OF THIS FORUM has asked you to do. This list should point exactly how well you are doing your job.

Those who do not agree with the OWNER OF THIS FORUM on how HIS FORUM is going to be run, can whine and moan all they want. Nothing is holding them here except their mistaken idea that THEIR disgrutlement and subsequent foot stomping will garner them what they want....which is their own way. They are simply indulging themselves in a textually based temper tantrum, most times, imo.

No. This isn't a game, where someone "wins" and someone else "loses". This is a forum for the exchange of ideas of a conservative bent.

In my 4+ years of posting, the only people that seem to have difficulty understanding that are either liberal disrupters, or unappeasable polyster pant wearing nincompoops who just want to rant on and on about whatever strikes their fancy. And sorry, but that ain't gonna happen. Bandwidth costs $$, and folks time is valuable. Wasting it reading about how Lincoln was a terrorist dictator, or how "local zoning ordinances are sapping the life blood out of the very fabric of our Republic as envisioned by the Founding Fathers" simply isn't going to be an option on FR. Thank God.

FR has STANDARDS for decency. The Moderator has given them to you above. Jim Robinson sets those standards, so accept them. I for one am grateful for this site, which brings, not only news, but entertainment and, yes, discussion of ideas.
