After I collected my wits upon seeing the photos, I checked the source to get the names of the photos and then did a search of my C: drive, then deleted them and everything else around them. Then I decided to go in and delete cookies. And that's where I've been for the last 2 hrs! BTW the two names, if anyone is interested, is leather.jpg and lemon.jpg

When the site was small and before it became famous, not much moderation was necessary.

There ARE other sites, albeit smaller, that don't "police" threads. Why don't you go there? IIRC, the site was always moderated by the owner.

In this day and age, with all the sickos out there, you need moderators (they deserve more respect than being sneered at as "police"). If we were "self-policed" by folks with no power to "zot" the vile pictures posted this morning would still be up, wouldn't they!

BTW, the Admin Mod just posted the guidelines to posting on this forum, and they can be found elsewhere as you well know. You are trolling for flame wars, pal.

Thanks for the starting list. I have been trying for months to get some sort of a list, which you police use, and, while from what I have seen, this is not complete, it is certainly better.

I have gotten to the point, where I am saving threads with controversial titles before i even read them, so I get a chance to read it before it is pulled.

Free Republic use to be a lot smaller also. From what I have seen they have helped the site. Just look at the flame wars before and after the moderators. BIG DIFFERENCE.

We used to have some fine, erudite discussions, on all kinds of things, with some very smart and informed people. Now we are just becoming the fastest news thread on the internet.
