CK was one of the few liberals that broke with the Dems in the early '80's, mostly over the Contras. He and various New Republic writers, like Fred Barnes, actively supported the Reagan foreign policy of rollback, and it caused CK to finally make his break with the Left.I think this was also why Michael Barone left being a Democrat at about the same time, even though he worked on Teddy Kennedy's campaign in 1980.

Who said "chronically disadvantaged?" Edwards? He means the underclass...the permanently poor, I guess.
Or it could mean the people who always get chosen last for kickball teams.

You should be reassured that Edwards is only in favor of AA (like they have at the UM, where you just get a lot of bonus points for race until the desired percentage is obtained), not quotas. "Quotas" seems to be almost as unpopular a word among politicians as "liberal." The public square is so much fun.

"Chronically disadvantaged?"
Is that personal-injury-lawyer-speak for "regular people"?

I'd love to share a beer or two with Drudge, but let's face facts - the guy's had one "exclusive" in his entire life. And I've long since given up hope that he'll ever have a second. Right. I think that basically he is a victim of his own success. Once the others in the media realized how easy it was to bypass them and give a scoop to Drudge, they realized that they'd better start printing the scoops.

Very few realise that he and Cavuto have MS. I am not going to speak for KR. or Cv. however I highly doubt his growth in thinking has anything to do with his condition.Growth in thinking? What a hoot.
Krauthammer is a neocon Zionist (excuse the redundancy) but that's enough to pass for a "conservative" for most dunderheads.

The Rareness of "Regular" (John Edwards) An excerpt from the article .......
Someone has already christened this politico as the Metamusil Candidate applying a gastro-intestinal inference to his definition of regular. Since I consider the guy in question as the poster boy for acid reflux disease I could accept the digestive terminology.

Last week, I had to go to the hospital with family, so I couldn't go to the party.

Politics in the White House? Scandalous! Yeah, and the "dearth" of brilliant minds sure has caused Bush Administration to lose every political battle of the last year...NOT.
