Me too.
That was a surprise. I thought they would have put up more points than they did. I didn't catch that game, but I figured Penn State would have scored more.
Not a Penn Stater here....

How on earth can you say they looked better then OSU? OSU's defense stopped the mighty Miami offensive juggernaught--in fact, it made them look worse then even USC. That must be saying a lot.

Welcome to the world of Big 12 officials -- the absolute worst officials in the NCAA I think there was a famous 5th down that lead to a colorado undefeated regular season. I think there was a bad call against missouri that lead to a nebraska national championship too.

You have a stupid answer for everything, don't you?

That was a sweet victory!
I was never a Winslow Sr. fan and I'm thrilled his kid didn't make the catch to beat us.
I'm going to savor this one for awhile.
SWEET! NATIONAL CHAMPS!
Matt Wilhelms from my city too, made it a little sweeter. He said 'hey' to everybody on the local TV hook up.
Did he crush the Miami QB on that one sack or what?

USC really did look better than both teams last night.
They were awesome, played perfectly. Palmer is as advertised.
Nobody will ever know head to head.
OSU...national champs. Well done.
Destiny.

Miami had been getting away with a lot of holds, both on defense and offense. Even the punt return had a borderline block that could have been flagged.
The most obvious foul was the holding on the incomplete pass play that led to the punt late in the fourth quarter.
The call in the end zone should have been called holding, and a five-yard walkoff. Bigger muggings in that game were not flagged.
However, some of those Miami players showed a lot of class and guts, which breaks from their awful tradition of being triple AAA punks. Winslow is going to be better than his old man, I tell you.

It was that. The ebb and flow of the game really made it an emotionally draining experience. When that last pass dropped, it was hard to believe it was really over.
Unlike politics, defense wins these kind of games and the Bucks defense got the job done when it was all on the line. Stopping a team like Miami four times inside the 5 is quite a stand.
I do hope the kids enjoy the moment, because it is fleeting, and everyone will be gunning for them next season.

I think you must mean you have a stupid question for everything.
Ask a stupid question get a stupid answer.

Was watching ESPN before Christmas and one of their guys said that what the Big 10 refs needed were laser eye surgery since they couldn't seem to make the right calls and gave OSU some of their wins.
Now they have the questionable call in overtime? What gives?
To: auboy
Well the BIG 10 went 5-2.
Auburn was physical enough to hang and win against a fine ball team. The Tigers should be proud....Congrats.

How on earth can you say they looked better then OSU?Horrid passes, fumbles, etc. or you have 3 points at end of regulation, *uckeye Fan.

Yes, sorry to say I have to work with a few. But I know more good ones than bad. Anyway, congrats to the Buckeyes and their true fans!

Thanks for the link to the
video of the controversial penalty. From that angle, I can't see any penalty. I was listening to the game on the radio from the fourth quarter on, so that is my only view. However, let me note that I am unbiased, as this is only the second college football game I have seen all season (my first was the USC game the other day).
If that is what the ref saw, he shouldn't have thrown the yellow flag. I don't know what he was smoking.
However, the bottom line is that Ohio State outplayed Miami, and hard work always pays off. My hat is off to both teams.
To: PRND21
True it wasn't the prettiest of games. And Miami's defense would probably do a number on USC too. Whenever you have two great teams battle it out there's no telling how it will turn out, but to say since both of their offensive looked sloppy means some other team could easily win just doesn't follow.
To: chimera
Rather amazing about that last sequence was they had the ball on the one for those final two plays and threw.
Payton got the ball close to begin with. That QB was done.
Doesn't matter anyway. OSU put up a legendary stand.
To: lavrenti
That goal line stand kind of reminds me of the Browns goal line stand against the Falcons.
Now it's the Browns turn to make believers out of the heathens.
