I work with a lady that is rabidly liberal and she constantly remarks that the media is run by the Republicans. She is living in a dream world.

Network news is hemmoraging because they continue to ram the Clintons down everyone's throats! There was an absolute lovefest last week when Hilary got a vote as "The most admired woman"-- but none of the networks were honest enough to state that she only got 7%!! They report only what they want and are driving their audience away with their liberal spin.

If the poll would have asked - "Which woman do you dispise the most"....she would have won that, too.

[corrected] If the poll would have asked - "Which woman do you despise the most"....she would have won that, too.

FNC is pounding the competition with far fewer total households with cable access to their programming? These results clearly disenfranchise non-Nielson viewers and a recount is in order.
To: The Raven
The networks are not only spinning--they are force feeding hypocritical public service announcements.
An example, yesterday the networks started running a PSA about abused women--a child is seen tearfully listening, as a man shouts abuse and then the sound of a slap/slug is heard.
Ex Pres. Clinton admonishes us to stop this kind of abuse!! Can you just imagine the revulsion his victims feel when they see this?

FOX rules. I like the morning show. I think you have to be ready to relax and have a laugh to be comfortable with them. In order to do that, before I turn on the TV, the first thing I do is come to FR to get the headlines, it's faster and cuts to the chase. Depending on the news I'll stay logged on or turn on FOX or more often than not, both!
I hope FOX can rival the coverage of CNN when the attack on Iraq begins. I hate CNN but admittedly their ability to cover breaking news in foreign countries is good, they have the equipment and the staff. PLEASE FOX, HAVE YOUR PEOPLE AND EQUIPMENT READY OR IN PLACE.
FOX RULES. PERIOD.

The Gay infested NY Slimes just increased its newstand price for Monday throught Saturday to $1 for each edition. That's OK. The NYSun run by Ira Stoll, (SmarterTimes.Com) Dropped from .50 to a Quarter. Just news, Oped, and a little sports. No Fluff.

What brand is your 12-year-old set.
I have 20-plus-year-old, 19", Sony 'Pro-Feel' component tv, that has a steel monitor housing and a better picture than most of the new sets. It weighs more than a 32" I have. I've never needed to service it once.
A lot of the new stuff is just cheap junk without much in the way of performance enhancement.
I'm eyeing the bigger screen HDTV and plasma sets. If the prices come down now that the holidays are past, I may jump, but the Pro-Feel will stay in one of the guest rooms for at least another 20 years. ;^)

Brian Williams is not anti-Bush. You are flat out wrong on that. Williams even listens to Rush even more frequently than his colleagues would like. I've always found him fair.
Then you OBVIOUSLY didn't see the Conan O'Brien show last night. Williams sounded more like a Leftist than a so-called 'journalist.' I thought it was Dan Blather, at first.
He even made snipe shots at the Fox News Channel.
Up until then, I had also thought he was semi-neutral. Not anymore, though, he earned himself a place on my 'banned list' with his 'performance' last night.
BTW, the worst INCREASE in sales in 30 years, does NOT equal the worst Christmas season in 30 years.

You live on the river? You've probably chased Dave off your property several times. I sure hope the river has crested for your sake. I live on the east side of the hill & it sure feels like the west side lately.

When I work nights, I listen to NPR on the radio (because it's the only station the radio will pick up that news). Last week they had a show on called "Power Point". It was an hour of bashing Fox News as biased, racists, sexists, and dangerous for America. There were no oposing views offered. The liberals are very scared indeed!

30" for MEdford & reports of 20" in Grants Pass. Normally like to hit the Lake a few days during the break, but with the weather we've stayed in. The sediment on the lake bottom is so fine that a steady wind will stir it up for a couple of days. Add all of the inflow & you've got visibility of nothing. Time to work on taking off the Christmas holiday excess.

Now like Osama Mama Murray has found out, even with the protection of the maggot infested media, she is getting her words used 24/7 to pound her ugly mouth.
Hey, Grampa, tell me that she is actually having to pay for her stupidity. I have been away from the computer for a little while and sure haven't heard in the tv media that she was catching hell. What's been happenin'?

Re: The Morning Show . . . The key to the morning show is having the cute chick with the short skirt in the middle chair, and then using the long shot to always make sure to include her legs. You'll notice they do close face shots on the guys, but almost exclusively long shots on the babe. We only got Fox since E.D. was pregnant, so I'm talking about the many days when there's a sub for her. I don't know what the show was like before she was expecting. All I can say is it's so far superior to Today that there's no comparison. Sort of like a "SportsCenter" approach to news. I like it.

I heard on the radio this morning on my way to work that ATT is increasing their cable service charge between $4 and $7 per month (I'm already paying $54/month for their "standard" cable - 3 HBOs and Starz). I pay ATT $49.95/month for my internet service and I assume that will be going up too. Since I know very little about the "dish", can you explain the difference and the approximate cost? Thanks!

Do a search and download the program "addelete". I've not had a popup since I installed it.

But I gotta say that the morning show is more than I can take, sometimes it is painful to watch. LOL! Too true. It seems like most morning stuff is schlock.
