All, Just another establishment picked "leader" as is Hastert, and was Lott. Peace and love, George.

Guys, Note the Rinos who support this guy, And the others who seem to have no problem with Frist. Peace and love, George.

DemoncraticUnderground.com is disgusted with him, too. You should get together with them.

Politics is The Art Of The Possible. It is unlikely that there exists a GOP Senator who would both mirror your 2nd Amendment position AND be suitable and electable as Senate Majority Leader.
BTW, which, precisely, of YOUR 2nd Amendment rights were abrogated by any of the above-mentioned bills?

Thanks for posting this.
Frist does not deserve to be Senate Majority Leader. Not conservative enough.
Hopefully the NRA will withold funds also.

"But Bill Frist is a completely unacceptable replacement. Republicans will elect him Senate majority leader at the risk of enraging and alienating the most reliable constituency they have ever had" gun owners.
Great article here! Frist as Senate Majority Leader is going to alienate a lot of the conservative base including pro-lifers, gun-owners and people concerned about our stupid open borders immigration policy. For that reason, the GOP will have a tougher time of holding onto its base in 2004 which may spell trouble for our hard-won GOP congressional majority.

I don't think you have worry about Frist infringing or your second amendment rights.

Is it a coincidence that new Majority Leader Frist is the second Republican Majority Leader from TN in the past 20 years? The other: Ambassador to Japan Howard Baker, Jr. Baker ran for president 22 years ago and flubbed badly. Will Frist follow suit in 2008? Of course, he was reportedly planning to retire in 2006 and return to medicine when he would be just 54. Therefore, he will have to hang around for two years more to mount a presidential bid.

JT, Independent parties look better all the time. As the guy said, there's not a dime's bit of difference between the two wings on the same bird of prey. Look for BIG things for medicare! Tenncare sound familiar?? It should. Peace and love, George.

I've got a wonderful idea for a total solution to all such problems as well as a way of quickly eliminating the democrat party from American politics.
Offer them a deal they can't refuse: Total abortion rights, with the possible exception of practices such as partial birth abortions which could rightly be construed as infantacide, for total gun rights, i.e. the elimination of every law in the land involving firearms other than the 2'nd ammendment.
Take those two poisonous issues straight out of American politics in a single move. The dems don't have any other real issue besides abortion rights; they'd be history along with the whigs and tories in five years.

Well, lets see....
Frist is pro death.
Frist is somewhat anti gun.
Wow, what a great choice as a Senate Majority Leader, (/sarcasm).
I'm thinking this is going to alienate some of the hard core conservative base.

While your proposal is tempting, I'm sure the RATs will find another issue to trumpet. It's the nature of evil...

Note also the very low score the reflexively-Liberal "Americans for Democratic Action" give him:

Here are some of Frist's votes regarding firearms. On balance, he's a supporter of gun rights. He could be stronger, no doubt, but to paint him as anti-gun is completely asinine.

Wir, The above "campaign finance" reform made it unlawful for myself and/or a few friends to pay for commercial advertisement using poitician's positions on issues and namesviolating not only my 2nd amendment rights, but my 1st amendment rights also.
Frist is most likely another landgrabbing, border opening, soldiers all over the world, establishment flack. I have serious doubts as to whether he's ever seen a copy of the U.S. of A. Constitution, let alone having read it before he took an oath to "Uphold and defend" it. Peace and love, George.
