COURAGEOUS PRIEST BARS PRO-ABORTION CALIFORNIA GOV. FROM CHURCH PREMISES
LIFESITE ^

California Governor Gray Davis, arguably the most pro-abortion governor in U.S. history, has been refused entrance to a Catholic children's home run by St. Patrick's Parish in Sacramento. The priest who runs the home said Davis would not be allowed to distribute gifts at the home - as governors have done for the past twenty years - unless he repents and turns from his sinful ways.
"We don't let any pro-abortion people in our grounds here," said Monsignor Edward Kavanagh, director of the home since 1952. "He should get his life together and he should change his whole philosophy on the unborn."
Davis rebuffed the call to repentance and invited children from the home to come to the state Capitol to be given gifts. Categorizing opposition to abortion as just an opinion, Davis said, "He's entitled to his point of view and I'm entitled to mine. I'm unapologetically pro-choice and I'm not changing my position," Davis said.

This is great! Almost as good as Clinton being denied communion by the priest in Africa.

"..."He's entitled to his point of view and I'm entitled to mine. I'm unapologetically pro-choice and I'm not changing my position," Davis said..." LOL!
'point of view'... What a crock
Davis advocates the brutal and wholesale murder of the unborn.
That's not an 'opinion', a 'position' or a 'point of view'...
That's a crime against humanity.
So... What's to be done about it?
Nuremberg was the model.

I so much want to post:
"Davis rebuffed the call to repentance and invited children from the home to come to the state Capitol to be given gifts."(Hey little girl, want some candy?)
But, instead I'll just note that the Governor's reaction says volumes about his (liberals) concept of parental/guardian's rights in raising children - as in "hey kids, if the pastor won't let us in to party, come on by my place and we'll party there."
Wonder if the church was expected to provide a bus?

Why should the priest admit him? Gov. Davis would have been FOR having them aborted to begin with since they are not "wanted".

Hate to be a contrarian here, but is he going to bar sinners from Sunday services next? Convert people at the point of a ,,oh,,whatever priests point?

Gov. Grayout is such a jerk. "opposition to abortion is just an opinion." No, you horse's ass (gov. gray, not you, sweet), it's a moral position. Not quite the same thing as an opinion...

As a practicing former Catholic, I think it's long past time that leadership in the Catholic church started practicing what it preaches. Too bad it's coming from a priest who must be close to 80, based on how long he's been at the Parish.
A few more hundred or thousand Church leaders standing up for what the church doctrine is may actually get the message across.
