Police arrested William Doherty, 54, of 42 Woodleigh Road at 9:30 a.m., after an investigation led by Officer Bobby Walsh uncovered Doherty was in possession of the guns without a license.
Reading articles like this get me very angry. The 2nd Amendment is being slowly destroyed in our country one gun control law at a time. We need to get our friends and relatives active and offensive about our right to bear arms before they are completely gone.

The People's Soviet Democratic Republic of Massachusetts, of course. I thought things were changing there with a new R governor?

24 guns? Here in Texas some folks would consider that a "starter collection".

A science teacher once said that if you drop a frog into boiling watter, it will jump right out.
But if you put him in cold water and slowly raise the temperature, he'll sit in there until he boils to death.
No this is not a recipe for frog fricasee...It is a recipe for disaster.

I beg your pardon, but what exactly is a "licensed gun?" In VA, we have no such thing.

Well that wasn't really in America you know, but rather the People's Republic of Taxachusetts.

A local man police described as a gun fanatic was arrested Tuesday after police confiscated 24 firearms and more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition and gunpowder from his home. Hell. That's not even a decent weekend's worth in Texas...

"They're still his guns if he wants them once he gets licensed."
Now that's government service with a smile. And I'm sure you'll be front and center to hand them back over.

While criminals commit vivid horrors in broad daylight, those who claim to be advocates of the public "good" violate the very rights that allow for the difference between the "public" and the tyrants.

"local man police described as a gun fanatic"
Local Police, FBI, ATF et al. It seems that inorder to justify their thuggery against Joe citizen exercising his Second Ammendment right they always tag the person or persons with an adjective that sets them apart from the rest. Even to this day when Randy Weaver is mentioned in the media he's always tagged with "THE SEPARATIST". In my mind that's just proof that the authorities still won't admit that they themselves broke the law, even after paying Weaver $3 million in damages for murdering his wife and son. Well, the Nazis used to wear the badges. What comes to mind when you hear the word Nazi?? When instances such as this Doherty case occur maybe Joe and Jane citizen should at that point tag that agency and paticular individuals with an adjective that puts them in the same light as the Nazis, thus sparating them from the rest. Who knows, maybe they would be proud to be associated with a like term as "Nazi", but word gets around and eventually they will be known as the separatists. If officers such as Bob Walsh weren't such good Nazis, they would do what is right and truely uphold their oath to our Constitution.

In addition to police, members of the ATF, bomb squad and Fire Department arrived at Doherty's home. What is the basis for federal agents to be involved? The lack of a license, as unconsitutional as it may be, is merely a state issue.
(We all know what the answer is...)

In the Peoples Republic of Taxachusetts, you are required to have a Firearms ID Card in order to "lawfully purchase, possess, or transport a rifle or shotgun (not a large-capacity gun), or to purchase or possess ammunition, ammunition components, or defense sprays." Fingerprinting is part of the application process.
Reference: Gun Owners' Action League. Sure sounds like they need an action league.
As to the Republican governor, a Massachusetts Republican is not normally what you would find in the dictionary under mainstream conservative. Even if that's not the case with Mitt Romney, he has an overwhelmingly Democrat legislature with which to contend.

Ware the heck is DEDHAM? I wish these articles were more than just local info. The net is bigger than that. Dont these people realize that anything they write (not the poster, the source) is on the net for all to see with in minutes.
