Pushed by the Mexican government, the Bush administration is working on a Social Security accord that would put tens of thousands of Mexicans onto the Social Security roster and send hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits south of the border.

White House and Mexican government officials say discussions on an agreement to align the Social Security systems of the two countries are informal and preliminary. But excerpts from an internal Social Security Administration memo obtained this month say the agreement "is expected to move forward at an accelerated pace," with the support of both governments, and could be in force by next October.

I refused to acknowledge the loss of tax revenue because of the underground economy? let's see:

" I do? I live in Dallas, Texas. We have a bigger ILLEGAL economy here than most cities LEGAL economy. I worked in Restaurants for 20 years. Most of the employees are ILLEGAL. The construction and landscaping industry is built on ILLEGAL labor. OUR responsibility is to protect OUR borders and OUR tax base. Mexico's responsibility is to theirs. "

From post #104. Illegal labor is obviously hurting our economy. Did you even read this post?

There is a plan to make a huge economic zone out of Canada, US and Mexico, called the North American Trade Zone. It is to be patterned after the European Union. There cannot be any borders to implement the plan, so there is no border security with Mexico even though we are fighting a war on terrorism. They are alread building the NAFTA corridor, which is a transportation corridor that bisects the US and gets good from mexico directlty to Canada. Your country is being stolen from you and you don't even know it.

Don't stop voting. Run for office and be the first fair, sensible and honest congressman we've had in a long time. Then set about to bring our government back to its consititutional origins Its not an impossible job, it has to be done bit by bit like the communists did who brought our government to its current level of corruption and idealogical separation from the founding principles.

That's true, but every tipped employee, and that is who you are referring to, is aware that if caught they face severe penalties. Back taxes, fines, ect... If not paid that could resort in confiscation of all personal property and jail. I know plenty of people who have gone through this. (IRS Audits I mean) Illegal Mexican's get sent home so they can come back the next week. If we properly protected our borders, and really punished Illegals who break our laws, this problem would not be so bad.

>>No, Migrant workers who have paid into should get it back. <<

I see no such entitlement. The SS payments are a corequisite to working here -- a "we gave you a job" surcharge, as it were. I think it is perfectly acceptable to accept this payroll tax and apply it towards the SS pool.

Are you retaliating against me?
No, what would we be retaliating for?
Why have you deleted the article exerpt
I excerpted the article because we have a court agreement with the Washington Post to only allow excerpts of their writings.
and all the topics
If you spam an article to every topic, we will likely remove all of them except for one. The state topics are for issues specific to those states-- if you think it is relevant to every state then it does not belong in individual state topics.
keywords?
I removed no keywords.

Just because a few waiters don't claim all their tips, doesn't mean we should excuse Illegal immigration.

You, like most on the thread see this issue as a immigration problem or an illegal immigration problem and it is not.

You and others can bitch and moan about immigration but the US doesn't have any options. You and others can bitch and moan about illegal immigrants but until the US sits down with Mexico and develops a worker entry program they will be crossing the border illegally and they will be preyed upon and the US and Mexico will suffer a loss of revenue because of it. This loss of revenue is large and growing.

BTW, have you Republic of Texas people kidnapped anyone lately?

Admin,

Why didn't you just freepmail me instead of taking my question public? I did exerpt the article (it was 2 full pages on the Washpost website) and when I posted my question, I had just hit the [first] post button and it didn't show the exerpt or any keywords. My bad I didn't realize the software operated that way. But I did mail you privately. I deserved a private answer.

Actually we need to do both. Keep all the illegals out, and find a way to screen and allow legal workers in, along with a way to keep track of them. However, none of this is possible if we don't protect our borders. We are being overrun, and soon there won't be enough people here who care about American cultures and values.

I haven't ever kidnapped anyone, but if the weather is bad this weekend, and I can't play golf, I guess I could, if you are up to it. Why do you want to be kidnapped?

We already stopped voting, and every day something like this comes to light, I realize we've made the right decision to back secession.

I hear a lot about this "Protecting the Border" or "Sealing the Border" but no one ever provides any details or costs. Can you provide that?

As I have pointed out, the underground economy is detrimental to the US and Mexico. But even worse, if it goes unchecked it leads to an increasingly larger number of people who have nothing to lose. People with something to lose don't abandon the system. If a large enough group have nothing to lose the system will fail and The Republic del Norte will come into being.
