Freepers I just finished a taped segment of the Tavis Smiley Show for National Public Radio against Congressmen Jesse Jackson Jr.
The Congressmen kept pushing for a "Censur" of Senator Lott and the need for him to step down as Majority Leader.
The first matter I cleared up was if the Republicans choose to pick another Leader other than Lott then they can.
Second matter was "Why wasn't the CBC as outraged at Robert Byrd when he used the N word, just because he put white on the front is no excuse. The Congressmen made the claim that the censur of Lott leave room for a resoulation to be offer a censur of Byrd.
Third I pointed out that Bryd owes his seat to being one time member of the nation's oldest terrorist group. I asked him when was the CBC going to act in the name of all blacks against Byrd.
Four he tried to pull the Clinton Personal Life Monica Thing and that we all knew what we were getting when Clinton was elected and Republicans went after him over a personal mistake. I quickly pointed out that Clinton did make a personal mistake but it was a perfessional since he was in the White House when it happened
Fifth I pointed out that his fellow CBC Members were misleading people in the statement "That the majority leader is 4th in line for the Presidency."
After I stated the facts Congressmen Jackson became really pissed to the point I had to ask him to calm down.

Outstanding, TBM!
Why do these liberal-socialist nitwits get so confused by facts? As to Travis, maybe he's on one of FR's ping lists.
Mustang sends.

LOL! I was there getting Hannitized when that photo was taken! I recall distinctly that Lanny was very stiff in his body when Kevin got him to pose.
Which is silly -- throughout he declared himself nervous that Freepers were there. Sheesh. We're nice and obey the laws. I think he just made a show of being nervous as if to suggest otherwise.

Hey...do me a favor...let's keep the Black NJ poet laureat in the news too. Good ol' Bakara (former slave name: LeRoi Jones).
This RACIST poet is not only spewing his venom against Jews and whites in general...he is being PAID with NJ tax dollars!
Where is the OUTRAGE for a tax paid RACIST in New Jersey???
OHHHH let me guess we have to give a pass to the "lovable racists like "Sheets" Byrd, "Hymietown" Jackson, "Tawana" Sharpton.
I guess LeRoi Jones Bakara is a "lovable racist" rewarded with tax payers money?

Good job, Kevin. What a shame there wasn't time to quiz the liar on his statement that if the Dems knew about Clinton's 'propensities' before the election, they would not have voted for him. What a bunch of hooey. Ten to One that is in fact WHY they elected him, IMO. If the media knew at the time, surely these 'optically-challeged did too.' That's why they didn't want to go in to the warehouse and view the evidence just before the impeachment. THEY ALREADY KNEW WHAT WAS THERE. And they knew it for a long time, even going back to before the bent-one's governorship. They put him in in order to legitimicize their own 'propensities' and other behind-the-scenes pro quos. If they didn't know everything there was to know about him when they nominated him, the party should have taken up knitting instead of politics. And this guy, squawking like an idiot saying they didn't know. What an indictment of the 'stupid' party. Making him prez was just the type of in-your-face shenanigans one would expect from this party of clowns.

Byrd must sit at home at night, and smile widely at how he's fooled all those uppity negroes (insert his word here) into staying on the plantation. Hell, despite the fact that they can use the drinking fountains, it's enough to make an old-style KKK guy laugh out loud. And the best thing is they count as a full vote apiece!

I haven't heard it yet, Kevin, but I'll download it from the archives (http://www.npr.org/) this evening after I get home.It sounds like you got everything in that needed to be said; and that Tavis has started learning to listen and let his guests get their points in as opposed to jumping sides and trying to fight the battles for them.
When I did Tavis' show earlier this fall, I have to admit that he was very even-handed with his conversation; I was genuinely surprised.

Cool! Go git 'em.
You should have asked why America has to answer to his father, who had a child by a woman not his wife. Let him say that it was nothing but a "personal mistake, can't we all just move on?" about that!

Jesse Jackson Jr. JJJ. Add one letter to each. KKK. Coincidence? I think not.
To: Trueblackman
I'm glad you were able to make points and be the gentleman you always are...but...I don't know how anyone can presume to debate anything JJ Jr. Is there a kind side to this man or is every day of his life just a new day to hate?
