Operation Infinite FReep in Fresno, CA (12-13-02)
12/13/02
Posted on 12/13/2002 10:01:25 PM PST by mtngrl@vrwc
Tonight we FReeped in the rain once more. A slow steady rain fell the whole time we were out there counter-protesting the ten or so peaceniks across the street from us. It wasn't exactly cold, maybe 65 degrees or so, but those cars whizzing by us make it seem colder by the wind chill factor they caused. Some of us stood under the EZ-up and others of us stood out on Freeper Island to be sure to capture the attention of those driving by.
As we FReeped, we ate lemon cookies, drank hot tea, and visited with each other. Those driving by tonight who were able to see us in the dark and the rain, which is a rarity in Fresno which gets only about ten inches of rain a year, honked to show their support for the troops and President Bush.
The Freepers who were able to attend tonight were:
- Jim, Sheila, and Chris Robinson
- JustAmy
- Notpoliticallycorewrecked
- Mtngrl@vrwc
To those who weren't able to make it to tonight's FReep, we missed you terribly! To those who were able to come, thanks!

You guys are awesome! Freeping in the rain. I thought it never rained in California. Must have gotten that idea from an old song or something. Regardless, this is another excellent report. Thanks for all your work.

Way to take it to them!. My FResno FReeper FReinds always put on a good show. You guys are great, FReeping in the rain takes committment.
T-minus 7 hours until another Colorado Double FReep takes place. We will take it to them once again. The leftists are not getting their idiotic message out because we steal their thunder every week.
Keep it up FRenso FReepers!

Since I was up early, I searched the website of the Rocky Mountain Center For Peace and Justice, (the sponsors of our Colorado peace-nik rally). I found this:
"December 14th: Love-in Against the War
Because we refuse to live in fear: Love-in Against the War
Saturday, 10am at City Park in Denver (same meeting time and place as general anti-war rally and march)
Wear hot colors. March with the RARI (Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist Response from the City Park to the Capitol. After the rally we will break away in festive march to the main political target -- where we will ensue to get our love on -- hugging, kissing , dancing, holding hands -- by any means necessary.
Smash Imperialism and look sexy doing it!"
This is really off their website, I did not make it up!
ROFLMAO!!

Thank you for standing out in the rain for FReedom. God bless you and the work you do every weekend. Jim, the note about the black man made me happy to read. I hope he will come back.
Bluesage, it's your lucky day. I just happen to have a copy of one of my favorite songs of all time. Brings back good memories of driving around in our yellow GTO when I was little. :)

Yeah, that part about "didn't think before deciding what to do," sure fits the peaceniks! Thanks for the memories.

"It was a dark and stormy night...".
Thanks for being there for the troops AND AMERICA. As long as we are there, the leftists cannot win so hang tough. Mid Missouri Patriots love you all. Thanks again.
