How'd you like the news that Pickering is to be renominated for the Circuit court bench?

President Bush is a world class poker player. He doesn't bluff if he doesn't have the capital to pay if his bluff is called. Now that he has tenuous Republican majority in the Senate (not forgetting Chaffee, McCain, Collins and Snowe are not solid and dependable), he can be more aggressive about doing what is right.

You may find that Justice may grind slowly toward the results you desire concerning Global Crossing as this year moves on.

Remember that suspicion and reason do not replace evidence in a court of law. Even Kenneth Lay of Enron, the bete noire of the media, has yet to be charged with a crime. Does that mean he is innocent or that there is not enough evidence yet to put together a case? Also, immoral/stupid/crafty behavior may not be against the laws that existed at the time the perceived criminal behavior was committed.

Maybe we can talk about this again in another nine months.
