Thanks, Mud. I don't really have a head count yet since we're just in the kicking-around-ideas phase. The date is March 22. The Reenactment is performed the Sunday in March closest to the actual date in March each year. They do an amazing job. Depending on how much interest there is, we could begin the morning down the street at the Museum of the Confederacy, the Confederate White House next door, head to the tavern for lunch, then to St. John's Church. People could either go their separate ways or stay for more refreshments. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

There are many, many, many restaurants within easy DRIVING distance, if that is still an option...

As the crow flies, there are many intresting places to visit in the area of St. Johns. Walking to them is another matter. St. Johns is at the top of Church hill. The slope is prodigious.

The nearby Poe museum could be walked to if all are hale and hearty, but you will have a steep descent and climb.

Are you going to take in the Capitol Building? That is definately worth a tour.
