I can't stand Hillary, "you know"...I can't stand Al Gore's voice, I can't stand an actor thinking he IS president cause he plays one on TV, and I can't stand Babs'whining. Please can someone help me spread the word to boycott these Hollywood pinheads? So they've voiced their opinion. Well, I don't want it shoved down my throat and I certainly don't want to look at their phony, surgeon paid for faces! If someone could draft a letter to forward in emails to boycott these traitors; Clinton lovers; I will be the first to copy and mail! Let's show these pinheads we don't give a demo-rats a** what they think and hurt them in the pocketbook!

You are preaching to the choir as the saying goes. It would be so nice to put these leftist jackasses on the unemployment line.

... boycott these Hollywood pinheads? Well, lets see, I haven't watched Jane Fonda since "Barefoot in the Park", Woody Harrelson[sp?] since he went apes**t, listened to Babs since she sang with Neil Diamond etc. I have NEVER watched West Wing for more than about 5 minutes and the rest you can guess. Unfortunately, my viewing universe is steadily shrinking and I am praying that no member of the "Lord of the Rings" cast gets too political before they put "Return of the King" into general release.

I understand your feelings but the majority of the people who cram the theaters or watch those TV shows don't even know, nor care, who's president or where Iraq is. The Twin Towers? Wasn't that a TV show?
To: SES1066
I agree, I have never watched West Wing, never will.
Very easy to boycott the rest too. Spread the word.
I do want to see Gangs of New York and the next Hobbitt movie. Hopefully none of those actors will speak out.

Well it is very easy for me. Our disposable income goes for food, rent, and TAXES. Heck I dont know when the last time I saw a movie. Had to be close to a year.
If this keeps up they will fall from their own weight and expenses. I shure won't spend mortgage money on that tripe.

I have long posted on FR that decent folks should not be going to see ANY movies. Hollywood makes the family type movies and uses the money to fund the filth that destroys our society. They don't care if they don't make a profit on the filth, it's enough that even a few people are corrupted.
No movies and no renting movies either. Or we are funding our own destruction.

It's time somehow to demand to know what President Bartlet (? guessing, I never watch it) would do. Do they have a web site? (Barf, Barf, Barf, Barf)
I watched that dumb group pleading to let the inspectors have a chance. Don't they realize that without Bush putting the pressure on, the inspectors would never be there?
Haven't they read enough scripts to recognize a "good cop - bad cop theme"?
How effective do they think the bad cop would be if they knew he was only kidding?
Do they think Bush would pull the trigger? How about Clinton?
As the old saying goes, "If you keep quiet people may think you are stupid. If you open your mouth you will only prove it."

One very intelligent young man once told me that he reads trash and pays money to see trash at movie theaters so that he can talk to people, gain friendships, acceptance in social circles and so on. And he was a popular guy. This is I think the motivation for most people. If I read a book by this year's Nobel Prize winner, a Hungarian author, who am I going to talk to about it? Who can I talk to about the latest Claude Chabrol movie I saw recently?
Even here, they'll call you 'elitist' for reading anything other than Tom Clancy. Well, it's a risk well worth taking, I think. Advertise your tastes, your dislikes and your boycotts. Believe me, it'll have some effect.

I haven't been to a movie in over a year...I think they are a waste of money (since you HAVE to have popcorn and a coke which costs an arm and a leg). So, I just watch cable (mostly Fox news). Movies are mostly crap these days anyway!
To: NWOhioGirl7O7
I can assure the hollywood commies i will not spend another dime on thier movies.I don't speak spanish or understand it but i will learn just not to see another hollyweird movie.
To: NWOhioGirl7O7
this represents a dilemma for me; I can fully understand freeper sentiment regarding the worst of the lot; I refuse to see any Baldwin, Roberts, Streisand, etc. etc., and the list goes on depressingly...however, a boycott of all movies deprives me culturally (The Madness of King George III) and in pure entertainment(Deliverance). Besides, what if there are people in the film e.g. Chuck Heston or Arnold Schwartzenegger? And how do you know that some of the production people aren't decent conservatives? My point is, while I will selectively boycott for content and personnel, I LOVE movies and feel enriched by seeing them. My VERY limited entertainment budget almost requires that I see movies...I would appreciate hearing the opinions of other freepers...
To: OldFriend
I have to say, that "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was worth seeing. Yes, Tom Hanks is involved, but he's not the worst person in Hollywood.
If the entertainment industry doesn't see that good stuff can make a buck, and trash won't, they will gravitate in the right direction eventually. Why shouldn't market forces prevail in this industry, too?
To: hunter112
You misread my comments completely. They don't care if no profits arise from the filth they produce. They use the profits from the family friendly movies to purvey their filth.
To: NWOhioGirl7O7
The last movie I saw was "Blackhawk Down." Before that, I think it had been two years since I had seen a movie. Most of the stuff out today is just trash anyway, and if the promos I see on TV are any indication, trash with no plot. Hollywood's specialty seems to be special effects featuring "stars" who must appeal to some people.
To ensure that I am not a party to supporting these anti-American jerks, I have no plans to ever see another movie.

You have my VOTE!
Boycott the TV and movies.
Donnahuey is an example, viewers do have a voice.
Let them hear us LOUD and CLEAR.
To: notdownwidems
Look, it's not on your shoulders to tear asunder the economic structure of Hollywood for political purposes. Go to the movies, watch TV, listen to records, and attend the theater to your heart's desire. It's a simple market transaction -- if you like Alec Baldwin, go see his movies. Who cares what the nimrod believes politically? You're not going to see him lecture on current events -- you're going to see him portray
somebody else.
This whole "boycott" thing is ridiculous. Moreover, it's a liberal tactic and unworthy of the intelligent, broad-mined conservative.
To: Cincinatus
This whole "boycott" thing is ridiculous. Moreover, it's a liberal tactic and unworthy of the intelligent, broad-mined conservative. I do not agree. These liberals won't learn a lesson unless and until their own tactics are employed against them. For all their bellyaching, they sure understand money, and they sure as hell ain't going to get mine.
It's hardly a sacrifice with all the crap they put out.
To: Cincinatus
Every economic decision involves an endorsement of one product or service and a boycott of competing goods or services; it's the essence of a free market.
