10 years ago they would have been "Waco'd" and they knew it and that is why there were no such actions. Their "challenge" to Bush to arrest them smacks of publicity seeking behavior safe in the knowledge that they have nothing to fear.

Wish I could be there to lend a hand.

They've pulled up the checkpoints in Sonoita, Whetstone, Tombstone, and Elfrida. As far as I can tell - every checkpoint in Cochise County has been dismantled.

Put this together with DoughtyOne's post of the mexican mafia being after the Barnett brothers, and it makes you wonder if someone is deliberately "looking the wrong way".

Nothing like a cold, hard slap right upside their RINO snouts to get their attention is there? ;^) sweet. If these jokers acted like they care didn't care about safe borders BEFORE there has been obvious disapproval of the policy of keeping our borders safe, they NEVER CARED in the first place.

God Bless these freedom lovers. Hope this sets a trend for others to follow.

Yes ! Also I would encourage any youth who is thinking about joining the military to help his country, might want to consider joining the militia to defend OUR borders, not someone elses.

I agree with everything you said, sweetliberty. But when it comes to protecting more innocent Americans from deaths/criminal activity from terrorists, this is especially true:

unless he becomes a real hard @ss on border control and getting and keeping mideastern non-citizens out of this country, and keeping Islam under close scrutiny and tight rein here, it is very hard to take the war on terrorism real seriously.

I read on a thread that the drug cartel is making more money importing human beings into our country than drugs. This is not isolated to illegal Mexicans, it is also happening with Middle Easterners, Asians, and others.

Why must "we" (and I don't mean us in particular, rather, law abiding American citizens) even defend our position that immigrants MUST come into the United States legally, according the LAWS of the United States? There is a process to go through; people of all other countries must obey these laws (except, of course, if they want to illegally come through the borders, then they are given a pass, or amnesty.) This is ludicrous and, more than that, dangerous.

geez, what the hell was that?

If the government really cared about our borders, the borders would be safe, right now. That citizens have to band together to defend the borders is not only evidence of, at best, incompetence, and, at worst, an agenda opposed to the constitution, but also represents the true meaning of freedom, liberty and self government that our founders spoke of and intended.

The only difference in mideasterners coming across the Mexican border and Mexicans is the price they pay. I've heard that mideaserners can pay as high as $30,000 a head. Seems to me that anybody putting up that kind of cash is likely to be up to no good anyway. What I don't get is why there is ANYBODY in this country, and especially the president, who thinks this is okay.

Thanks for the comments. I don't get a kick out of taking Bush to task on this. It seems to me it's a black and white issue. Evidently the President disagrees. I happen to believe that this issue strikes at the core of true conservatives like none other, especially in light of 09/11. I did not vote for Bush. I'm not saying right now that I wouldn't in the future. I can tell you I won't if he opens the borders, and it's pretty obvious that's were he intended to go.

Libby, maybe those who enter under some "protected status" situation won't enjoy their stay with a bullet hole in them. I say, organize and DO NOT back down. It would be interesting to see whether the "government" would attempt to sic the military on the militia. Surely an American soldier could not harm a fellow american patriot. Will be an interesting situation and should have been handled long long ago. I support these militias 100% - they seem to care more for their country than their elected representatives. I know our border to the North is totally unprotected also but then look what we have running or should I say ruining this Country. I am from the WEST, btw.

DoughtyOne: "I don't get a kick out of taking Bush to task on this. It seems to me it's a black and white issue. Evidently the President disagrees."

Sweetliberty: "What I don't get is why there is ANYBODY in this country, and especially the president, who thinks this is okay."

It appears none of us like to position ourselves against President Bush, who in most all respects, is doing a great job, especially given the difficult economy he inherited, then, shortly after started to get going, got attacked, because of the WTC, and all the efforts now to fight these evil people. He's been a great leader. However, on this issue, I think he's dead wrong. And I don't get it, either, about why HE DOESN'T GET IT! (and all the others that don't care or think the holes in our borders are "no big deal"). I hope O'Reilly continues harping on our borders.....maybe someone will finally listen. Between O'Reilly and the militia....maybe they'll get these people to pull their heads out of wherever they are (no disrespect intended toward our President, of course).

Don't be fooled about the northern border problem....I have knowledge of Middle Easterners and those of Indian descent(from India) being smuggled into upstate New York. I am not at liberty to say how. But this is a fact and not isolated incidences.

It sounds to me that Grijalva has taken his pledge of office fraudulently. When will he be arrested and imprisoned?

I hope O'Reilly stays on it too. It seems that he and Tom Tancredo and Michelle Malkin are the only ones in the public eye who have the stomach or the guts to take a stand for the PEOPLE! The rest, well, they're either cowards or they have an agenda that does not factor in either the will of the majority of the American people OR the well-being of the country. But that seems to be par for the course. I see very little these days to make me proud of the country I live in, and I really hate to say that because I do love my country.

I believe you. I also know of Iraqis coming across our southern border. 96 of them were documented trying to come across within 24 hours of 09/11.

What has never ceased to amaze me about either of our countries is how we just usher all these aliens in and then they DEMAND to set up their cultures etc. etc. ad nauseum and actually have the nerve to call us racist if we don't like it. But just let any of US (Amer. or Can.) go to their countries. By God, you do and they do or else!! Are Western politicians just stupid or is it us, the people.? It needs to change tho and it needs to change NOW>

You're right about O'Reilly and Tancredo...I've never listened to Malkin, but I take you at your word, and I think you're right, they seem to be the only ones with guts. And I understand and your frustration with the way our country is, as I feel the same way. Truth is hard to accept, sometimes, especially when it's ugly. But you speak the truth, sweetliberty. Pretending the ugliness isn't there won't make it go away. (I've got to go eat dinner now, but I might be on later, we'll see.) Have a lovely evening!

That is more than frightening. I pray for the militia, as I do our military. They are all fighting for us. Now, off to dinner, or I will be fighting with my family, lol!
