Paging Lon Horiuchi. Some more opportunites to demonstate your expertise in firearms and law enforcement and a chance to eliminate some more enemies of the Republic.(sarcasm)

"I love it! I dare the President to take this dare."

And I dare the President to take your dare to take Simcox's dare. ;^)

Currently reading Michelle Malkin's book and she describes the ineptitude of INS and shortage of patrols along the border.

This border protection by militia is way overdue. I would hope the rest of the border states take notice.

If I lived on a border, north or south, I would volunteer.

Oooh! How about the infamous triple dog dare...

Seriously, I can't wait to see how the Bush admin reacts to this. Maybe they'll finally wake up.

Awww, you spoiled it. We could have gone back and forth 10 times before we got to the triple dog dare.

"Seriously, I can't wait to see how the Bush admin reacts to this. Maybe they'll finally wake up."

Nothing like a cold, hard slap right upside their RINO snouts to get their attention is there? ;^)

This "challange to be arrested" smells like week old fish.

They are American citizens who have the Constitutional right to do what they're doing. There is a foreign government requesting they be arrested so it will be interesting to see what side Bush comes down on. The Mexican government is demanding the FBI take action against these Americans ---they want them arrested and the Mexicans allowed to break any law ---including trespassing and squatting on Americans' private property.

That is all well and good but where were these guys 3 years ago?

The same place conservatives like you were in '94 when the sink emperor was re-elected, with your head up your ass.

Grijalva: "It's time Congress became involved and conduct hearings on a full range of critical border issues, including the militias, immigration reform and overall border policy," he said. "With the issue of vigilantism, the potential for that becoming something very ugly certainly exists."

The Arizona Legislature is expected to take up the matter when it returns for business in January, and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights also has asked the Justice Department to investigate suspected "vigilante" activities in Arizona.

This is frigging unbelievable! We don't need hearings, Commissions or investigations. All we need are a few public officials with the cojones to enforce existing immigration laws. Why do ya think they're call "ILLEGAL" immigrants? Because they're here illegally. Thus, they're criminals who should, at minimum, be arrested and, hopefully, deported.

My hat's off to Mr. Simcox. If I lived anywhere near AZ I'd be standing, PROUDLY, by his side.

Right now criminal immigration is, IHMO, the most important national problem right after the War on Terror. Stopping criminal immigration is more important than the economic problems as it contributes to the economic problems.

Given the enormous problems to solved in merging the 22 departments to make up the new Homeland Security Department, I sincerely hope the bureaucrats in DC aren't saying, "Well, we'll tackle illegal immigration, but let's wait until after the merger."

With that attitude it will be years (I've read as amny as 10) before anything happens. At the current rate of criminal immigration, by then there won't be much left to defend.

Texasforever, if with your "Klayman Basin Patriots" statement you are referring to the Klamath Basin, then I will out and out tell you to your face that you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

If you are referring to something else ... fine and good ... it's lost on me. Either way, your efforts to demonize and down talk what these people are doing are very weak IMHO. Like how a smudge of dust pales in comparison to the glow of diamonds.

These people are willing to take great risk to do what they feel is right for our nation. Against an issue where current policies have admittedly failed, even admitted by their detractors. They neither asked for, or expect your support. They are going to do it out of the conviction of their hearts and IMHO, the situation warrants it ... just like the situation at Klamath warranted it.

If, in other areas, you have taken great personal risk to defend and protect this nation and our liberty ... then I applaud you for that and urge you to then try and project that conviction that you displayed onto the actions of these folks and at least show some respect.

If you never have ... then you should really think about doing so. No one who has never taken great risk to defend liberty can ever know the measure or the sweetness of what true liberty really means. They may enjoy the fruits thereof (which is fine) but they can never know the full measure of what it takes, or what it means IMHO.

And what makes freepers thinks they won't be "waco'd" now? Ashcroft has already shown his ineptness and his predisposition to adhere to the policies of the former AG. Exactly what confidence can freepers hold that Bush won't do the same thing as Clinton with respect to citizen militias?

They are only patrolling on weekends? That's too bad ... the word will get out and the illegals will cross during the week, I'm afraid.

"And what makes freepers thinks they won't be 'waco'd' now?"

There is a world of difference between a bunch of helpless and scared religious fanatics and these people who are willing to risk life and limb for this cause.

The folks that I know down there aren't afraid of the govt, and most of them can and will shoot back. Horiuchi's cowardly face won't be shown anywhere around here.

Any other would be govt hero had better think twice about taking this bunch on. I think Texans invented the Arkansas feud. For the govt boys, the nightmare would never end.

While I don't like the publicity seeking angle on this, I realize that blowing this out in the press is probably the only chance these folks have in the long run, of forcing the government to take action to stop illegal immigration.

This effort is all about publicity, & correctly so. What Simcox is obviously trying to do is bring the issue to a head in front of the entire nation. The government will be in the spotlight & the country will be watching to see how they handle it.

Let's face it, this problem isn't going to be solved by a few ranchers in SUVs. A strong wave of public anti illegal alien sentiment is the only hope.

Absolutely Jeff. I am looking to the day when this happens in California ... when it does I'm planning on spending a little time on the border.

Well I wouldn't go as far as RINOs, being that I am a Bushbot and all... ;)

But, this is the one issue that I vehemently disagree with Bush and his administration on. I do want to see Colin Powell's proposal for the borders, since he seems to have been touting it in order to get the Homeland Security bill passed. Until they get their heads out of their butts on this issue, any help that a militia or help at the state level will be appreciated.

"And what makes freepers thinks they won't be 'waco'd' now?"

The government is not that stupid. They know they are being watched. What the government is likely to do is wait till the heat goes down a little and then attempt to take out the leaders .... one by one.

"Mr. Grijalva, who takes office in January, said he also intends to ask Attorney General John Ashcroft to investigate the Arizona militias and patrols"

Funny how these government officials' first response to this is to investigate the American citizens instead of thinking that maybe they need to deal with the problem of the illegals.
