Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!
Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Fox news just gave a report. Said turnout so far in New Orleans is low and fairly high in GOP areas. They warned it will be a very long night. Yes, I heard that turnout in GOP areas was higher than expected...let's hope this means Republicans are more motivated than the Dems.

Two votes for Suzie! We vote in a rather 'bohemian' precinct; looked like we were outnumbered by "those people", but we whooped it up briefly when we cast our ballot. Worked the phones for a couple of hours this afternoon. The feeling is that turnout is substantial. I'm still optimistic!

I was 10 years old before I found out that swingandamiss was not one word. You mean "when" you found out, unless you want us to guess how old you were, which then could be any age older than 10.
Scott--
Ignore the grammar police. I know exactly what you meant to say--
You were an Astros fan.

One of my pet peeves is, when asking someone how they are, the respond "good". No, you're not good, you're well.
Amem. I'm still waiting for James Brown to correct and re-release his hit song:
"I feel well ...dada dada dada da"

I always say "OUTSTANDING!" Can I be outstanding? LOL.... You may not be, but you could making an exclamation about something that is "outstanding".
I'm no Mr. Grammer, but I've become more aware of grammer, syntax, etc in my daily rantings since I started learning Latin in May. Mea culpa! :)

Our state is in trouble. Thank 130 years of corrupt Democratic rule. However, Landrieu lied about Louisiana having lower homeownership rates than the national average.

Clapton is on a free concert on Direct TV right now. I'm listening as I cruise here. Clapton is still the man.

Landrieu won big in Sheveport and Caddo county (it is Caddo isn't it?) last time. Keep hope alive. I think it was a backlash due in part to the N.O. Archbishop's hectoring. That is MY theory anyway.

Yes it's Caddo. That's good news.
My dad died in September. Hope he didn't vote for Landrieu.

She gutted him like a fish. No muss, no fuss. I was cheering for her. She did great. Not only that, but she brought up what he said to each guest that appeared after him so they could whack him around too! It was wonderful.

One of my pet peeves is, when asking someone how they are, the respond "good". No, you're not good, you're well.I always respond to that question by saying I'm finer than frog hair. And if someone asks me how I'm doing, the answer is, "Without..." - most people take a while for that to sink in...

Hello! -- I'm coming up your way very soon. I go to Big White every year for a week of skiing, and this year we'll be up there on the 5th of January.
As you know, there's been NO rain this year. You guys need snow - now (I'm prepaid).
Washington is just like Vancouver. Yeah, it's hard to take, so I come to threads like this one for some vicarious thrills, watching a Republican win!
To: Torie
I agree w/your theory.
