Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Terrell can win by getting 65% of the white vote and 10% of the black vote ...if...if ...black turn is 25% or less of the total vote ...

75%x65%= 48.75%
25%x10%= 2.50%

= 51.25%

On my way to my polling place at a school, we drove by another school filled with Landrieu voters waiting to vote. The parking lot was full of Landrieu voters. Gave me a sinking feeling.

YOur scratch the belly method is fine as long as you don't give stock market advice; of course, I used to watch mountebanks and liars posing as stock "experts" on CNBC and your belly method has to be infinitely superior to theirs.

Even in the Deep South, this election may sound the death knell for simple white/black analyses of the voter population and much else.

The American people are just more complicated that that.

Persons not white NOR black, and especially Asians, are making their presence known in New Orleans and its near-in suburbs, and it now appears that nearly 5% of the vote cast today will be of such racial origin.

On the other hand, perhaps there still IS a dichotomy as before, but between black and non-black, at least according to what is seen now. Asians and persons resembling such seem to be casting upwards of 62% of their vote for Terrell, and it is possible that among persons from India especially, the Republican support approaches totality. Louisiana's Hispanic community, while not large, tends to be recently arrived and very Catholic, and the pro-abortion and non-religious tone of Landrieu and the Democrats cannot have helped there either.

A general rule of thumb for RATS in Louisiana is that they must get at least 35% of the white vote. Anything below that and they're toast. Personally, I think Terrell wins by somewhere in the 6-10 point range.

With that scenario, KQQL, Terrell can still win if she gets only 5 percent of the black vote (1.25 + 48.75 = 50.000).
