"...The Tiger is /..."
This is from a source, or just your (our) optimism?
I hope you are right!
The polls close at 7 LA time, is that right?

My final prediction on OurCampaigns.com was Landrieu 47.30%, Terrell 52.70%.

I think since the Reagan years tho that the Democratic machine made a consciencious decision to develop a fraud strategy and an agressive one at that
Calling the grammar police. 2 g's in aggressive, "consciencious" is spelled "conscientious", and the word you should use is "conscious", meaning knowingly, as oppossed to "conscientious" meaning moral, as in acting on your conscience.

He might not have carried Virginia, but there was a lot of nontraditional support for him there in that election.

Winona Ryder is on "Mermaids", running on AMC. it is a 1990 film.
Just have to wait and see. Will probably start getting a clear picture late tonight, as to the election returns.

Just voted. I didn't have to wait in a line, walked in and walked out. HOWEVER, there was a steady stream of people, just enough to not have to wait in line.
I'm crossing my fingers and plan on spending the evening on the recliner watching returns.
FYI- Channel 4 (new orleans CBS affiliate) had a story from CNN about which attack adds were more misleading. Basically they blasted Landrieu for the deceptive ads about the sugar farmers, they went on to say Terrell's ads about Landrieu were acurate. The only thing they got Terrell on was calling Landrieu the "Most liberal Senator in state history" apparently that distinction belongs to Huey Long, but who the hell can remember that.

It's quite possible that the DemonRats have NOTHING to hope for by voting today. They have already lost the Senate and it doesn't matter to the MAJORITY if Landrool wins today...at least in their minds...so why bother voting? The Demodogs have nothing to gain by voting...we can only hope.
Go Terrel !!

The polls close at 8. A little under three hours to go.

NPR radio not even mentioning the race. A good sign!
To: ABG(anybody but Gore)
Caddo, Lafayette, and East Baton Rouge parishes were the first to elect Republicans to the state legislature -- in the 1960s. Tell us why Lake Charles is more Democrat than Lafayette.

Great food and great culture indeed. I wonder whether having had so many of mixed race living there since the beginning has anything to do with civility level. Even back in slave days, "Free Men of Color" lived in NOLA, some did very well, bought big homes, had slaves themselves. So they all got used to each other.
I'm going back next year for some mo' charm and gumbo! And hopefully to drop in and shake hands with Senator Terrell!

What time do the polls in Louisiana close? (sorry if this is a repeat question).
To: jaredwalczak
Will do.
Safe to say though, that at 0.2 points of difference, neither of us gets bragging rights over the other if we are right, and we can cry in our beers together if we are wrong.
