Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!
Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Landrieu didn't move to the left...she moved to the right and ran on her great record of support for Bush. She avoided all the big Dem names including Clinton and told them to stay away. This is NOT a big night for the Rats...it's an insult in disguise.
EXACTLY!!!

The Pubbies have got to start using some of the RATs strategies in getting out the vote in heavily conservative areas.....calling on election day to those GOP who haven't voted, neighborhood captains, vans to transport the elderly.....it is hard work but it is the only way to offset the Black vote in states like LA!

I think your comment might be anti-semantic.Damn! Busted, AGAIN!

OMG. She is making waaaaay to much of this win. She thinks it is the 2nd coming.

Exactly...CNN anchor just said that 'this is a big night for democRATs!'......GRRRRRR!!! And who was leading the pack -- Bill Schneider? He was gloating earlier when the race was 50/50 saying how the GOP sent down their big guns and little ole Mary was running solo with the help of Jesseeee and the black caucus. What he didn't say was that Clinton/Gore/Pelosi/Gephart and Daschle are not popular in La. and their help might have meant a Terrell victory. He sickens me!

I'm not sure... It seems that they project an image that really isn't really real...

Not the removal of his spine, but allegiance in perpetuity to the Democrat party and the "little people."

Yep, the Dems just added another star player to their bench. It was a good night for the Dems.

The only chink in Bush's armour is the economy. I thought it would have turned around by now. Hopefully Bush is smart enough to avoid his dad's mistakes. I agree though, Fridays announcements didn't help the situation at all.
To: section9
what we have to hope for is that the ideological Democrats who run the national party will immediately latch on to this as a vindication of Pelosi liberalism. Yes, definitely will work to our advantage.....if they fool themselves into believing this and pushing it.

Every year we hear about how some Republican is drawing black votes, and perhaps Mayor Bloomberg did last year. You know, school choice is not to help rich people. They already have that choice by themselves. It's to help the poor in the inner cities break out of their crime, poverty, and dependancy - yet the blacks STILL vote Democrat.
They vote for the very people that keep them enslaved. I just don't get it.
To: Charles Henrickson
That's a 191 vote margin.
To: Hermann the Cherusker
Too bad it doesn't include the removal of other bodily parts...
To: lonestar
The first clue that you are lying is that 15% of voters in LA hadn't heard of O'Neill or the news that he had been fired. You arent getting it. The 15 pts are Bush vs. Democrats on "Handling the economy". It took a huge beating nationally and in LA on Friday.

McCain and Chafee will defect soon. The GOP will never gain Senate control.
What crap. This is almost as bad as the guy who said that Olympia Snowe was going over. She actually cried when Jim Jeffords decided to bail on us.
Look, McCain wants to keep his chairmanship and Chaffee will get what he wants from Bush.
Don't you understand? They saw what happened to Jeffords. They saw what the Democrats did to judicial appointees. Not even Chaffee wants that. And they saw that Jeffords couldn't save his milk compact when he ran over to ratland.
If he goes into Ratland, he'll never get a subcommittee chairmanship.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

This wasn't any one thing - but a lot of little things.
* The economic team shake-up
* The suger "issue"
* Cooksey, Foster, and that other guy not getting on board
* And the Dems determined not to lose another seat and show they had some sign of life.
Take away any one of those issues, and you'd have this going GOP. Well, we need to come back at `em next year and in 2004, and do it hard and fast.
To: Charles Henrickson
That's a 191 vote margin. Man, I'd have taken a recount. That's way too close and the chance of err is a possibility. Wow!
To: Charles Henrickson
191 vote win so far? ......are you kidding me?
