Ouch - half of Orleans parish remains to come in, with Mary L holding a 5:1 lead (44,188 to 9510).

That means the most Democratic areas have come in. Gore beat Bush in Orleans in a higher-turnout race 137,630 to 39,404. I'd guess that Landrieu takes the votes that haven't come in yet from that Parish by 25,000 or so. So chalk up +25,000 on her margin, then hope that the other areas can overcome it. Doesn't look good, I admit.

Hey, I just found this out today, from my mother, I never even knew that. I am 20 years old, but my Great Aunt (my Dad's Aunt, I think that would make her my Great Aunt) has a first cousin, who also happens to be her 1st cousin, but since my Great Aunt married my Dad's Uncle, means I have no blood relation to either my Great Aunt or as a result her first cousin, Sen-hopeful Terrell. No problem. What you've said is too bad, though. IMHO, what is dragging the Catholic Church down in America is these damn 60s hippie/sodomite priests, who do everything they can to stir dissent instead of faithfully instructing their flocks. The sex scandals are a prime example of this. Natural Family Planning works just wonderfully, and, pursuant to the "crowd you run with" way of thinking, I know of no couple who has not been able to plan their families in this way, without birth control.
