Another busy day for President Bush today as he signed a few new bills and hosted the lighting of the White House Menorah. The President signed the 'Anton's Law' which requires shoulder belts in addition to lap straps in the middle rear seats of vehicles. Bush also signed the Dot Kids Implementation and Efficiency Act, which creates a new kids-safe 'dot-kids' domain on the Internet that would contain only material appropriate for children under 13. After signing the bill, he took questions from the media, and once again stated that he is not optimistic regarding the inspections in Iraq. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura hosted Afghani teachers as they learn to become master teachers, who will eventually be responsible for training teachers back in their home country. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Agreed. Only a fool like clinton would pose for a picture that way. Oh God, remember that ridiculous entrance to the democratic convention?!! Aaaarrghhh! That man is such a prick! Utterly shameless. What a frickin' disgrace he is.

It's very rare to find conservative instructors at colleges and universities, but I was extremely lucky with my Amer. Politics instructor. A female conservative! What a dream come true.

On the page you provided the link to:
http://www.scottpolls.com/gopgeneration.html, a reviewer wrote:
"Scott Rasmussen, one of America's most innovative pollsters, thinks that, barring failure in the war on terrorism and collapse in the economy, America is going to become a majority-Republican country."
I would say
_despite_ a collapsing economy.
In times of trouble, the people gravitate toward leaders whom they can trust, in their hearts, minds and soul. Think about it. If you owned a small business, and it fell on hard times, would you not double your efforts to keep the employees whom you trusted the most, even as you found it necessary to let go many others?
Don't fret if the economy doesn't recover for the 2004 election. Don't believe that old saw about a bad economy being bad for the incumbents. That only applies to the untrusted. Bush will do fine, very fine, in any case. And his coattails will be long indeed.

Baby poop green/yellow LOL -- I cracked up at this -- was in some plays in my younger days, and we had "special" eye shadow that the guys used for on-stage -- it was this same yellow-green shade and we called it Baby-Poop (as in--"be sure to put some baby poop on your eyelids")

W has connected with the people, pure and simple. They see him as a good man and they trust him. That counts for lots in politics!

Since you want to declare for PolySci, is there any way you can get her as an advisor? My college advisor for journalism was conservative (and I didn't recorgnize it until I was about to graduate.)

She appears to be holding a picture of a child; could this be the mother of "Anton" for whom the new law is named?
Yup - could be.
And notice the two fingers on her right hand, shaking hands with Bush (Post 17, pic 2). They are open, in a V shape, on Bush's hand. Sure feels like trust to me when I hold my hand that way and imagine being in her place.

I don't know. But I'm definately going to look into it. She is such an encouraging person, and she is very understanding. Right before a test we were about to take, she told us to just relax, and it doesn't matter how well or how bad we do on this test, because there's going to be more tests. She's just awesome!

Yes, you are very welcome here- always. Please don't be ashamed to admit that you made some mistakes in the past. The important thing is that you see beyond the garbage that the democrats have been spewing for years. I am glad to see that you see our President for what he truly is- a caring, compassionate, fair and just man who is leading this nation in one of her darkest hours.
I am curious as to what brought about the change in your beliefs. Please fill us in, if you don't mind.

Mike, I feel it so deeply too, that our W is going to be one of the great ones.
I have to tell you that one of the reasons I'm able to believe this so fervently, is the Dose. Don't you just feel like you really know him? We've seen him deep in prayer, anguished with grief, tender with Laura, laughing with little baseball players. We have watched our W every single day since the Inauguration, thanks to Rintense. We know what he does, who he sees, who he calls, how he interacts with the American people. We read his speeches, we comment on them, we debate them.
I haven't ever cared so much about a President as I do about our W. I just pray all the time that God will continue to bless him, with all that he needs to lead this nation.
