Since you want to declare for PolySci, is there any way you can get her as an advisor? My college advisor for journalism was conservative (and I didn't recorgnize it until I was about to graduate.)

I'm with DrDeb.......join the College Republican Club if you haven't already. There are a whole lot more conservative students than profs on college campuses these days! Maybe you can all gang up on the faculty and shame them for their wanton leftist ideology!
