A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 12/4/02

Another busy day for President Bush today as he signed a few new bills and hosted the lighting of the White House Menorah. The President signed the 'Anton's Law' which requires shoulder belts in addition to lap straps in the middle rear seats of vehicles. Bush also signed the Dot Kids Implementation and Efficiency Act, which creates a new kids-safe 'dot-kids' domain on the Internet that would contain only material appropriate for children under 13. After signing the bill, he took questions from the media, and once again stated that he is not optimistic regarding the inspections in Iraq. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura hosted Afghani teachers as they learn to become master teachers, who will eventually be responsible for training teachers back in their home country. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Hey! WELCOME!!

You know, one of the best things about George W. Bush is that he knows he is President of ALL the people in America.....including Democrats.

That makes the purists around here a bit uneasy, but IMO, it's what a President is supposed to do.

We have in this President a GOOD man, honorable, strong, intelligent and compassionate.

The fact that you are 'ashamed' means that you're honorable yourself!

When I say world peace, I mean it as people living free and protecting liberty. Ronald Reagan ended the "Cold War" and brought about the end of the former Soviet Union. I believe George W. Bush will change the world in a more profound way. I believe we will see and end of Dictatorships like Saddam's and North Korea in the next 4 years, I believe we will see a revolution in Iran in the next 2 years and that will be the spark that lites the fire.

Something George W. Bush said has always stuck with me....

"The course of this conflict is not known, yet its outcome is certain. Freedom and fear, justice and cruelty, have always been at war, and we know that God is not nuetral between them"

I,m confident he truly believes this, and so do I

Hmmm. I guess you're at NAU? I was through there years ago. ('bout 12 of them). If I recall, that is quite a nice area. Mostly, I remember Crater Mtn up the road. I had fun going through there at sunset, chasing around the trails. (before trail running was cool!)

That would be correct. I love it here. All the trees and the beautiful snowcovered mountains. None in town yet, though.

This Fox poll that you and others have cited is an UNSCIENTIFIC poll conducted by Esquire magazine -- it probably targetted its subscribers who wouldn't necessarily be the biggest fans of GWB (probably too Texan for their centrist/liberal sensibilities!).

Mike, you have been SO on target tonight!

Not that you aren't always.........but I am in total agreement with you about the impact that George W. Bush is having and will continue to have on the world.

I don't think we can even grasp the half of what God is doing through this man. All we can do is stay on our knees in fervent prayer for him, and thanksgiving for God's mercy toward America in giving him to us!

OK Boys and girls. I've taken up enough of JimRob's bandwidth tonight, so I'm going to head off to bed.

Have fun tonight without me!

Flagstaff is nice -- we were stationed in Glendale (Phoenix suburb) for 4 years, loved it there but when we missed the "seasons", we could drive to Flagstaff just to see some snow (like maybe a half-inch or so if we were lucky)

It seems that colleges (and now it seems most of the public educational system) have been overrun with liberalism -- it says alot about your character that you have remained a strong conservative

Plus it is totally schizoid in its answers. GWB is one of the most respected presidents but also one of the most overrated persons in America. Clinton is one of the most admired but also the most loathsome. Seems like gobbley-gook to me. Looks like Esquire has really gone downhill.

The President signed the 'Anton's Law' which requires shoulder belts in addition to lap straps in the middle rear seats of vehicles.

She appears to be holding a picture of a child; could this be the mother of "Anton" for whom the new law is named?

Keep up the good fight!! As a college professor/administrator, I have been battling university liberals for years (much to their chagrin I might add!!).

I recommend that you join your campus' Republican club -- great way to both meet fellow conservatives and contribute to the overall well-being of the party (particularly at election time!!).

I also recommend that you visit David Horowitz's website frequently -- he has made it his life's mission to challenge the liberal stranglehold on academia!!
