GOP Circulating New Poll, Terrell Pulling Ahead in Louisiana!
ABC News Political Insiders 'The Note' and Wes Anderson Polling ^ | Dec. 3, 2002 | Mark Halperin and Elizabeth Winter

The Lambert family in Baton Rouge writes to us about a robocall that they recieved over the holiday weekend:

From Governor Mike Foster, talking about how Suzie Terrell was going to stand up for Louisiana values.

If I recall correctly, Mary Landrieu has been using the 'standing up for Louisiana' line for the entire campaign.

In the latest salvo in yet another heavily to over polled race, Republicans overnight circulated a Wes Anderson poll conducted November 25-26 showing Terrell leading Landrieu by a bit.

Terrell will win, no worries.

I thought the same thing two days before the election in 2000. The Battle of Florida taught me never to let down my guard against desperate RATS.

Mary Landrieu has been one of those democrat women that I've had a hard time stomaching. If we could boot here I'd be eternally grateful. LOL

Good luck to you all.

It is not vote fraud, you unpatriotic bâtard. It is duty.

Mon ami, jus because one has passed on to the Big Crawfish Pie in the Sky does not mean his vote is not needed, no? In fact, mon petit chou, it may be needed in many places, and many times before the night c'est fini, ne c'est pas?

I hope you Cajuns got this under control, yes?

Precisely. I get so frustrated when I hear the Dems say that they're going "to fight" for us. When I hear that, I just know that means they're going to fight against everything I want to have happen, getting things done, passing a budget, confirming judges. The word fighters assumes that the other side is the enemy and opponent, and I cannot stand that kind of demonization of conservatives. We conservatives are not the enemy, and I am SICK of being treated that way! And someone who plans to be a fighter is likely to be unnecessarily pugnacious instead of playing well with other children in the sandbox. Just my personal rant. (Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!)

You're wrong! Coastal erosion is a crucial issue! If the Democrats run on coastal erosion in 2004 they'll win in a landslide.

I agree. You have to know who you support and why before the campaign, because you're going to hear precious little about what the candidates really believe during the campaign.

BTW, the "fighting for" ads made little sense for Strickland, because at the same time he was trying to sell Colorado on the line that he's an "independent thinker" who wouldn't toe a party line. But his ads took pretty much the Dim party line, "fighting for" abortion, "fighting for" the Sierra Club, "fighting for" the teacher's union, blah, blah, blah. Oh, and he tried to convince us that he was no longer "fighting for" gun control, which he was "fighting for" the last time he ran.

My other favorite Dims cliche is 'stregthening' Social Security or any other Government program that comes down the road.

Which really means billions and billions of new taxes

One of my all time favorite movies ever, possibly the best of the 1990's with Groundhog Day.

I watched it again on cable and was laughing as hard as the first time..

My other favorite Dims cliche is 'stregthening' Social Security Yep, hold onto yer wallet when ya hear that one! How about "investment," another good euphemism. But my favorite this year is that the Dims don't favor raising taxes, they favor "freezing the tax cut." What's next, a "reverse tax cut"??
