The Lambert family in Baton Rouge writes to us about a robocall that they recieved over the holiday weekend:
From Governor Mike Foster, talking about how Suzie Terrell was going to stand up for Louisiana values.
If I recall correctly, Mary Landrieu has been using the 'standing up for Louisiana' line for the entire campaign.
In the latest salvo in yet another heavily to over polled race, Republicans overnight circulated a Wes Anderson poll conducted November 25-26 showing Terrell leading Landrieu by a bit.

The current batch of polls were taken PRIOR to Bush visiting LA.
No doubt Terrell's numbers are getting better every day!

Exactly correct and a Presidential visit usually is a 4-5 point bump, so even if Suzie is 2 point ahead in this poll it could be creeping out of margin of error territory

Mary Landrieu has been using the 'standing up for Louisiana' line for the entire campaign It's the latest buzzword from the consultants. This year, seems like every politician either "stands up" or "fights" for (fill in the blank for a state or group).

Wasn't Landrieu the one that got into office through voter fraud, in the first place?

I wonder if Owen Wilson helped him write it.

Wasn't Landrieu the one that got into office through voter fraud, in the first place? Yep. If it weren't for fraud, Woody Jenkins (R) would be the junior senator from Louisiana and we wouldn't have lost control of the senate last year. :-(

Daschle stole his seat too. And the dem from his state stole this election. For the most part it appears that the dems will do anything to steal an election. Just look at what her hiney did in NY........and Corzine in NJ.......

Does that test well in focus groups? You betcha. Don't you feel better knowing Mary Landrieu is "standing up" for you! On the other hand, Tom Strickland lost "fighting for Colorado values" to Wayne Allard, who is "making a difference for Colorado."
It's not just athletes who have to master their cliches, the pols do too!

I won't make an official prediction yet, but Mary is in deep doodoo. The GOP and other groups are running ads on radio hammering her for her pro-abortion stance. Landrieu is countering with her position on coastal erosion and bringing in pork. Her campaign is sputtering. Badly.

Terrell will win, no worries. Never, I repeat NEVER underestimate the power or sleaze of the Dixie mafia. They will do anything to win. If Suzie wins that'll be great (maybe Carville and Co. will just go away if this happens ;-) ), but it ain't over yet. Pray, cross your fingers and let's hope for victory.
