But that was not the end of Dale's ordeal at the hands of the Clintons. He was subjected to a three-year IRS audit, which also found nothing wrong.

What made the IRS angle to this so preposterous was that Dale's travel company (I believe it was called Ultra Air) was audited by the IRS even though it had been in existence for less than a year and hadn't yet filed a single tax return.

It's really something that boggles my mind... The travel office employees, as well as all other white house staff, serve at the pleasure of the President.

If the Clintons wanted a different travel office staff, all they had to do was tell them that their services would no longer be needed, and install the staff that they wanted.

But no, they had to trump up charges of illegal acts, and bring down federal law enforcement agencies on the staff. That's the ugly little secret. And why? Well, it beats the hell out of me! I certainly don't know! I suppose that they didn't want to world to know that they were installing their cronies, but there was nothing wrong with doing just that!

It's no mystery. Hitlery wanted to try out her new powers of sending innocent people to prison. She also needed to see how compliant the FBI and IRS would be. (Very).

Don't forget, Hitlery had the White House doctor fired for refusing to inject Bill with an unknown substance. And the chef fired just for the hell of it. But that wasn't enough to satisfy her lust for power. She then had to experience the joy of putting the innocent into prison after firing them.

When the Clintons swept into the White House, they apparently saw the opportunity to use the Administrative Branch as a way to simultaneously reward loyalists with lucrative jobs and pay off political debts. The basic problem with the travel office, though, is that it had a reputation for being apolitical. My opinion is that the Clintons had already privately decided to hand the contract over to their cronies; however, knowing that it would look bad to pay off supporters in such an obvious way, Hillary Clinton's fingerprints were all over it, and the fact that no real justification existed would reveal them to be petty despots, they cooked up a reason. And I also believe that part of it was the fact that they weren't used to having the power that they wielded yet. They used it indiscriminately -- like a club -- without any sense of reason or moral responsibility. Nothing changed in 8 years. They abused the public trust time and time again.

I think you got it. When we analyze why people act the way do, we apply some standard of *reason*. This always fails when applied to unreasonable people.

The only clear explanation is as you said, she wanted to *test* the environment as to her limits.

In most cases where there is an individual who thirsts for power, they show their power on people who cross their path or who challenge them. Revenge becomes the end that justifies any means.

How in the world the seven employees of the Travel Office crossed the Clinton's is still a mystery. They most likely never crossed them.

I'll speculate.

The travel office had some influence over which media members were allowed *access*. When ordered to include/exclude certain media, they may have balked because of ties developed over the years with certain members ordered to be excluded.

"Billy, what do mean you can't give me a pass? You and I go a long ways back..."

"I know, I know, but that's the word, I don't understand it any better than you. Look, let me see what I can do..."

And then criminal charges and investigations. A way of breaking clean from the past, never going back, a purge and a statement.

You raise an excellent question! If they are hold-overs, they should NOT be there!

This was proposed and got part way though Congress, but as I remember, the Clinton's vetoed it.

Isn't that the same phantom tourist who was supposedly on the top of the Twin towers right before a big plan crashed? (Turns out the photo was an internet fake)
