Tonight's FReep of the peaceniks in Fresno, CA was the best one ever! Once again, ninety-eight members (!) of the youth group of the Assembly of God church in Riverdale, Ca joined the nine FReepers who were able to attend tonight's rally. What wonderful young people they are! They spread out onto the three corners of Fresno's busiest intersection that the peaceniks weren't using, and when the peaceniks left, they took over their corner as well. They brought flags and hand made signs with them and they shouted "USA, USA, USA" and cheered every time someone drove by and honked.
That said, I have to say that the verdict is in --- Fresno, California stands firmly behind the troops and President Bush! If you all could have heard the honking and supportive remarks tonight from those driving by! It was absolutely awesome and knocked our socks off at times!
After the church group joined us tonight, Chadsworth called one of our local television stations and said, "Hey I was just driving by the corner of Shaw and Blackstone in Fresno and there are a bunch of people standing out on the street. What's up?" And they said they would send someone out to find out what was happening. Pretty soon they showed up with cameras and all, and they went from corner to corner and filmed the patriots who were celebrating living in the greatest country on earth. They also interviewed Jim Rob. I think they were from Channel 24. I don't get local television where I live, so those who do will have to fill us in after the nightly news in on at 11 o'clock.
Flags were waved tonight, cheers were led over a bull horn, and all around, a great time was had by all!
The Freepers who were able to attend tonight's rally were:
Also present was Miguel, who attends every week I think. Thanks Miguel!
To those who were able to come tonight, thanks! We missed those who were unable to attend and hope you can make it next week.
Oh Amy I'm so sorry to hear about this. I will bring you your very own cookie. You will not have to share it with MB or Chadwick, I mean Chipworth, er Chopworth, oh you know who I mean!
Yeah, didn't he do good? He's a huge asset to our group. I would never have thought of calling them like I was just driving by and wondering what was up like he did! He's one smart cookie. Oops, should I have mentioned cookies again? ;-)
Mama_Bear and JkPhoto, those audio files brought tears to my eyes tonight. They are just wonderful! These are indeed great times to be alive.
Wonderful! I have missed you so much! I am so sorry you haven't been well enough to come by yourself, but it will be nice to see your hubby again!
I wish you could have too! It was just awesome!
U S A
Poor Baby
You forgot to mention JK, the closet cookie monster. Didn't you hear the lip smackin on the recording. That had to be cookies he was eating -- or was it something else he didn't share?????? Hmmmm.
I think the more appropriate term would be - clever dog bisuit. That way JUSTME wouldn't get her feelers hurt about a "little tiny dog biscuit crumb." Sheeeese - what we have to do to stay politically correct around here.
I will even answer to "hey you--stoooopid"
Uh what kind of cookie are going to bring the snibbler? Of course I am not too choosey when it come to cookie snitchin, and I am usually there before JK gets there--- heh heh
Just wonderful that the young one's were there. The future of America is in good hands.
Fuzzy, you take a mighty fine picture. Cute as a bug. : )
Um....nice nails. Snorf!
