The lib professor sure has a keen mind to reiterate Ann's point:

She disputed Coulter's assertion that the Democrats are the party of rich [idle] liberals [and their maids], saying that not many members of the 48 percent of the electorate who voted for the party in the last election have maids. "Frankly," she said, "many of them might be maids."

Duh, didn't Ann just say a "party of idle liberals and their maids"?

"I contributed to Emily's List. I contribute to public television. I am not a traitor."

Emily's List---> pro-choice democrat women---> abortions

public television ----> hey, EVERY tax payer contributes to public television (at the point of a gun)

who accused her of being a traitor?

...someone torched one of the signs that the group put up announcing Coulter's appearance on campus. Ardvini said the club then had to take down the rest of the signs, because they were deemed a fire hazard.

Now there is a cute liberal ploy, not unlike the Democrats breaking every available campaign finance law and then saying we had to change the laws to prevent them from doing that or McCain saying he was a crook, well sort of, so we had to change the campaign finance laws so he wouldn't cheat again. Commit a crime and then demand that the means to do it again are eliminated. Not only do you get off Scott free for the crime but you look like a reformer.

"I would have voted for Hillary Clinton if I lived in New York," said Speakman, as the crowd booed. "I am sorry."

If Speakman felt so strongly about her political beliefs, she wouldn't be apologizing.

She was dropped from the conservative National Review after Sept. 11, when she wrote about Muslims, saying, "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity,"

Rich Lowry: "Girly-Man". BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
(Sorry Mr. Lowry, but ya' gotta' admit, it WAS pretty funny!!!)
And, as Ann said re: Afgahnistan: "...we DID invade their country, we DID kill their leaders, and Christianity would be a much better hobby than suicide bombings..."

LOL
Now that we have more and more conservatives taking the gloves off and using the losers' weapons against them ---- very very effectively --- the dems want to redefine political hate speech.

Too funny!

Her comments drew a round of cheers from the front seats of the audience, occupied by the College Republicans; the group had erupted in applause as soon as the tall, blonde Coulter entered the room.

Many of those wearing the club's blue T-shirts clutched digital cameras. One had a copy of Coulter's best-selling book, Slander. Another had a calendar of pictures from Ronald Reagan's ranch.

I wonder if there were any FReepers in the crowd? Could use some first-hand impressions and reporting, and if someone had a tape recorder, perhaps a transcipt or a partial one, would be nice.

"She was dropped from the conservative National Review after Sept. 11, when she wrote about Muslims, saying, "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity," according to Newsday."

Go get them Ann. You're the greatest.

The National Review is no longer worth reading for its pusillanimous politically correct intolerance of someone who speaks the truth about the Islamic menace and the left-wing monster which has become the DemocRATic Party - the choice of the cryptocommies, the traitors, the baby-killers, the pornographers, the illegal aliens and the radical homosexuals.

Democrats, Speakman said, believe in a government that helps people who cannot help themselves

Precisely -- because they do not really believe that ordinary people who are not members of the political, academic or media elite like themselves can really take care of themselves at all.

These "ruling elites" take a paternal interest in the rest of society. All they ask is that we sit back and allow them to decide what is for our own good, and of course, to give over to them all our wealth so they can better decide what and how much we each should have! Clinton expressed it so forthrightly when he opposed tax rebates because "the people" might not spend it on the right things. The ruling elite does not even trust us to spend our own money! I wonder how long they will trust us to vote the right way. You may think I exagerate, and so did I until I read something about Katie Couric blaming the voters for the "loss" of a Senate seat.

The sad thing is, the Republicans are not that far apart from the Democrats in their view of the incompetence of ordinary people. Both parties believe that the lives and affairs of ordinary citizens must be administered and regulated down to the smallest detail. How far we have come from the time when James Madison described the Constitution as resting "all our political experiments on the capacity of mankind for self-government."

"I would have voted for Hillary Clinton if I lived in New York,"

Another illiterate native born speaker of English promoted to teach our children! What a country! Yakov Smirnoff, if that's his real name (I doubt it), would have known how to say it if he had been there!

God bless Ann Coulter. Strengthen and protect her because she is to the USA what Deborah was to ancient Israel. When leadership was lacking to non-existent Yah sent a woman.

The Democrats, Speakman said, believe in a government that helps people who cannot help themselves, including the sick, the children and the unemployed.

It has a nice sound to it, doesn't it? But it doesn't explain why the Democrats spend so much time, and so much of OUR money, helping people who WON'T help themselves. Nor does it explain how Democrats manage to ignore our Constitution and heritage in order to do so.

I didn't know that.

I wonder if National Review would let me write there. I agree with everything Ann said except for the last part. I want to convert them to Judaism. ;-)
