More proof of the blatant insanity and outright abuse our children are subjected to while attending our public indoctrination compounds.

"A shotgun shell is considered an explosive," Uh, the shell had already been used, it was nothing more than a piece of plastic. What idiocy this nation has become.

Too bad the State Dept., Immigration and the Customs Service doesn't have zero tolerance on filling out visas. We couldnt been up 3,000 people and a couple of buildings.

Zero tolerance comes from a good place," says Cross, "but it's black and white; there is no gray. There's a common-sense point of view that gets overlooked with this black-and-white law. There's no blurring of the edges, no extenuating circumstances." Who's fault do they think that is?
Zero tolerance came out of schools and principals protecting themselves from lawsuits over discretionary decisions that parents and others felt were wrong and hurt their children. Parents who refuse to take responsiblity for their children dump them on the schools, and then the parents sue the schools when they blame them for their children's behavior.
The schools' response was to take decisions away from the principals (and therefore the litigations) by enacting zero-tolerance policies that spelled out exactly what was to happen under any circumstance. Since the schools can't foresee everything that could happen, they simply broaden the definition of things to include absolutely anything.
That's why kids are being expelled these days for pointing fingers and going "bang."

I sent 'em a nasty message.

When they can abuse a child to the point of tears and then shrug saying "what can we do?" over an empty shotgun shell it shows a very wicked heart. They hurt this child from their religious viewpoint as a rabid humanist. Anything to hurt the parents of a gun owner. The punishment was not for the kid, but for the parents.
Home school, while you still can. If the bean counters will do this openly, what are they doing to the kids behind closed doors?

Good, Law and Order. The rules are the rules, don't follow them, go to jail. /sarcasm off
Is common sense ever going to to be seen in the United States again.

I sent them a 'nice' note, also.

In 2nd grade my son spooked his teacher for having that ultra violent( sarcasm) book Jurrasic Park. She felt it inappropriate and called me.
It was so silly as its hard to find a 2nd grader who didnt see the movie.

As idiotic and Natzi-ish as this all is - I entirely fail to see how an empty shell constitutes an explosive - the good news is that a 5-day suspension is not the end of the world. It could have been a lot more ridiculous and will stand as a wonderful example of liberalism and the current state of nationally funded education for all the world to see.

His discovery of the projectile That spent shotgun shell is only a projectile when he throws it at the person responsible for this nonsense.
